let's see this downhill running from 4 WR sets

Malzahn will take shots down the field
the backbone of his offense is the deep pass...from spread formations

no i didn't
Yes u did say Malzahn's offense is like TTU, your exact words

malzhan sprinkles in spread option but runs it more like texas tech does

Only if you have a legitimate deep threat to free a safety.

i said they run the ball like texas tech does, which is exactly what i reiterated

Per Gus Malzahn, but I'm sure SFP knows more about Malzahn's offense than Gus does
.
"Nowadays, there are so many versions of what people call the spread," Malzahn said. "We're going to have a physical, hard-nosed attitude, and that's the No. 1 thing we want to do. You look back at the history of Auburn, and that's kind of been their trademark. We'll focus on running the ball downhill and be a run/play-action pass team. That's a little bit different than what they did here last year.

Gus's spread schemes aren't any different than what they run at Texas or Arizona. Pretty basic 3, 4 WR stuff with delay-draws and deep balls. None of that whacky motion-driven east/west shite he did UA.
And, yes, 4 WR sets are traditional relative to modern college football.

WTF??? what does freeing up a safety has to do with running the ball downhill?

TTech doesn't run many deep routes. they're a 5-15 yard passing game and 3-step drops a bunch

How many times do you think Tech runs the ball a game?

y'all said the same shite about tony franklin last year

so basically he's trying to be crowton (going from spread to traditional) without (1) talent, (2) past success, or (3) a scheme to borrow from the previous year

Well if he's not in the box.. gives you time to get running 'down hill' doesn't it?
I didn't mean "freeing him up" from the sense that he's free to roam. I meant "freeing him up" in the sense that it's one less blocker for a linemen to reach in the second level.

they started up a lot more last year and it paid off
Posted on 6/9/09 at 11:05 pm to SlowFlowPro
Tech only ran the ball 317 times and Tulsa ran it 674 times.

past success
He hasnt had past success? I'll put it like this. Malzahn's Tulsa offense gained almost TWICE as many yds against Arky than LSU did against Arky
He's bringing the same offense to Auburn. The more u post the more u prove u have no clue

i was just showing that LSU's top recruiting classes didnt translate to dominatin Auburn on the field. Have u beaten us? of course. but u haven't dominated us . and we all know that chances are it'll be a clsoe game again this year
Again, your last two recruiting classes haven't been as good as previous ones. So what has happened up until now has no bearing on the future.
And I don't think this year's game will be close. You were probably saying your game against Bama was going to be close last year as well.

shite, any Auburn fan that says we are going to get blown out by Alabama is unofficially told to turn in his fancard.

My fault, i mis understood what u were saying. Yeah the fact Malzahn will be willing to throw the ball deep will keep the safeties out of the 'box' which will make the running game better

Yet you lack the personnel to run downhill against good defenses. Just look at your OL, TEs, and even RBs.
And then, you have no QB nor WR to stretch the field for you.
