they had ZERO plays designed for him. Literally they just gave him the ball on draws out of the shotgun.

Teshadi Talton rushed for two touchdowns on 18 carries for 190 yards last week, including a 40-yard scamper in the third quarter. He leads the team with 1,116 yards on 93 carries, averaging 12 yards per run, and has caught 10 passes for 222 yards this season.

And he ran a kick back for a TD against Brookhaven last night. Whatever you want to call how they use him, it seems to be working.

BTW, I'm not trying to pick a fight with you because I respect you as a poster. We just have slightly different takes on the use of Talton.

Glad to see they started using him more. The 2 games I went to he might have had 10 carries total.

He was hurt for a while and it took a while to transition the offense after vincent got hurt. He is a different player than vincent clearly and it took a while for us to figue ti out. But shadi now has a few plays that capitalize on what he does good.

He is getting alot more carries now and will def. help us win this week and has played an important part of our team.

I dont think it was as much as not wanting to get tashadi the ball but more of the coaches not knowing how to best get him the ball... you have to remember River Oaks doesnt get a back like tashadi much.

He made the best players in 5A ball look silly.

There is NO excuse for him to not touch the ball EVERY play. There is no arguing this. He is the best athlete River Oaks has ever had. Its pathetic that their ego's are holding this kid back.

Yea, ok.

So let me get this straight...the RO coaches are deliberately not using Talton, in the process diminishing their chances of winning a championship and thereby hurting all of their players, all because they want to prove, for whatever reason, that they don't need to play a kid that used to play for West Monroe?

I will say this...I personally know Coach Hannah... and you have absolutely NO idea what you are saying. Your post is a perfect, classic example of someone talking completely out of one's a-hole.

what do you expect from a wm homer...they think just because he went to wm he's another walter payton. I know coach hannah also and he knows what he's doing. in that homers eyes there is no that compares to shows hell vince lombardi was a crappy coach compared to shows

who fricking cares who wins or who doesn't? Neville has to compete with 3 schools for kids, West Monroe is the only school in that shite hole of a town. I'm betting you watch WM highlight films every night

A. Don't say "they" when 1 guy posts.
B. No one else thinks Talton should get the ball every play. I said they ran ONE play with him while Moore had 95% of the offense geared towards getting the ball into his hands in every way imaginable.
C. Name a better player from River Oaks than Talton. Please provide a link of their highlights. I'd like to see them personally.
D. Not trying to take away from Moore. I think he'll play D1 at safety. He reminds me of Craig Steltz. Just saying the entire offense was geared to get him the ball.

So you honestly think River Oaks play sbetter against those fricking scrubs when you DONT give the ball to Talton?

Be fricking real, he dominated the best. He can certainly dominate the a bunch of lower level athletes.

Yea I know I'm a homer but anyone that has seen him play knows he's the best player in that league.

Monroe is better than West Monroe? Really? Haven't been paying attention lately have you? Both places aren't paradise, but people are fleeing Monroe as fast as possible. They're tired of being surrounded by thugs. Oh I forgot, the only part of Monroe that people want to count is the 5 mile radius of River Oaks to OCS. No one wants to talk about the 70% of Monroe's occupants. Meanwhile, they want to use Bawcomville, which isn't in WM btw, to run down WM. Nice...

Im not saying that at all. But I do know a couple of the coaches personally and when we talked about Talton before the season they were both gave off the vibe that he wouldn't be the reason this team wins state. Thats just dumb. He got to RO and was immedietly the best athlete there. Hell even Vincent Moore admitted to it on KNOE. Yet the first few games they continued to let Moore get the ball every play giving Talton the ball 5 times in which he scored on 3 of them.

Direct quote, "Now, temper your expectations. He's going to be good, but Moore is our offense. Don't expect him to get the ball much here. We'll get it to him, but not like everyone is expecting." From a RO coach in August.

Do you know who they played in the first couple of games. I could take craps that play better football than those teams. When RO played a good team Talton got hit really hard. Vincent scored 4 times? and blocked the game winning field goal. I'm not saying Vincent is better than Talton or the other way around but they are damn near equal

ETA: Teshadi got injured on the 3rd play of the Washington game and i'm sure he would have done really well

Nope...A fatass ref couldn't get out of the way and Talton ran into him, then was hit as he bounced off the ref. If the ref moves, Talton scores untouched.
