Excellent post. Like the work.

Think we need more than 3 OL but could deal with it

Don't see 2 TEs. Need or want. We have depth

Forgot Dee Anderson at WR. Hell he might be the best one. We have a shitload of offers at WR to be taking just 3 even though I think 3 should be the number

Would love to see 9-10 DL guys but if so then some positions are getting shorted. Fine with me but which ones?

Love the numbers at LB but think some of the kids listed are backup plans

We are gonna take at least 5 DBs. Too many CBs on the board and S is a need and loaded as well.

Also the biggest problem is that we can't take 30-31 without gray shirts or blue shirts. We don't have the spots. IIRC we are even on numbers(until we see how 15 ends up in August with non qualifiers) meaning we only have 25. Also have to figure attrition. We will need quite a few to leave just to get 25. That is easier because its always an issue and always gets worked out.

The 2 extra ships we had from 14 were used on Domond and Jeter unless the timing of them signing somehow makes those numbers "extra". Don't see the SEC or NCAA letting 2 kids on the roster for free though no matter how Tennessee tries to spin it.

The best way to lock these kids in is win. We need at least 10 wins. We win and we get em. Not saying we can't get most of them with our recruiters but winning sure makes these kids want to be here. If a kid wants to leave the state we shouldn't hold that against him. Don't forget that a lot of recruits come from out of state. Just win baby

No Chad Clay, Trayvon Mullen, Ed Oliver, Dee Anderson, Eric Monroe, Dontavious Jackson, Erick Fowler, Isiah Chambers, Deontay Anderson, Shavar Manuel, Dwayne Haskins, Frank Martin, or Kendell Jones? Your list is shite.

And we're gonna take way more then 20 in 2016. Moses gonna lead his boys to the promised land!

We would have had to undersign in this most recent class to be able to oversign in the 2016 class. It doesn't work the other way around unless you convince guys to grey-shirt. And top talent generally doesn't like to grey-shirt, at best you can get 3* talents who really want to be there to greyshirt. Good luck convincing any of the guys on this list to do that.

Sir, I don't think my list is sh.t. I know I left off the OOS guys...just trying to say if they are going be Tigers. Let's do this! Commit or we'll take the in-state guys who really want to come to LSU.

We need commitments not just talk. Yes, kids can still take a few visits but at the same time. Coach Miles doesn't have to fool around with that BS in 2016.

You are either in or out! We've got some big time talent in the state in 2016.

And my LBers are not backups. They are 4 star guys without question, if you know talent.

Just because the services don't have them listed that doesn't mean that players are not high level players (especially Louisiana guys).

If I am correct...not many 5 star guys played in the Super Bowl. F the stars, man! We've got the JUICE in 2016. Every school in America will be in here trying to get some.

I want guys that are hungry, man. Need guys who want to eat, not already full!

And to all about the over signing...Bama signed 28-29 this past year, TENN signed 30...there is a way. Just have to figure it out. We have to, too much talent to lose in 2016.

Look at the depth at TE two years from now. You tell me if we need 1 or 2 in 2016. Washington has not played a down yet. We don't know how he will pan out yet...correct?

Back to the response...if those OOS guys are in. Tell me them to man up and commit! IF not, I think the LSU staff should focus in on the in-state kids that really want to play at LSU.

Because if you lose home, you are have lost everything. Les, take care of home first! I promise you, Coach. Louisiana will be very good to you over the next 4-5 years for sure.

The state has some very good talent in 2017 but not as deep as the class of 2016. That's why I say we over sign in 2016 and cut back in 2017.

kick rocks. Drake Davis is a must get if he coming back to BR. Guy is a freak of nature. He's at least 6'4, at least 210, and runs at least in the 4.3s.

Did we hire coach O partially because we need his help in locking in next year's class? IF we just get most of the top guys in the state next year we should be top 5 class.

Look I know you love Louisiana boys, but some our best players at their position, have been OOS later in the year. Patrick Peterson, Sam Montgomery, Brandon LaFell, Kwon Alexander, Zach Mettenberger, etc.

Dee Anderson is a BIG omission as I believe he is the best WR in the country skill wise. Ed Oliver who is just a high motor beast going into the backfield. Plus we get at least one of Monroe and Anderson at Safety, and at least one of Smith, Mullen, Broussard, or Clay at CB.

And you can't oversign and then undersign. That's not how it works. You under sign and then sign a lot. You have the space cleared to do that. You have 85 spots for scholarship players. Period. You can't oversign and then undersign. If you are gonna oversign, you gotta have the space available to do that. And you typically do that by undersigning, which we haven't done.

And verbal commits don't mena shite. Which is why Miles and Co don't rush and offer / take commits from any decent player in state. Recruting is a process and you let it play out. You don't just take commits asap and then call it quits, especially if there are bigger fish to reel in. And we have reeled in some big fish from OOS the last few years. We do a GREAT job in state and will continue to do that. But we also do a great job OOS. No need to force kids to commit asap because it doesn't mean anything. It's about who you sign.

This whole "either you are in or out, or we will move on to a guy who wants in now" is really dumb and I'm glad we don't do that. Who cares when they commit... It only matters where they sign. Think of the guys you would miss on if you did that... Like I said, recruiting is a process and you let it play out.

I don't think we need more than 2 QBs if we get Franks. There's not a very high chance of getting 3 top QB talents in one recruiting cycle anyway. No need to take a 3rd QB destined to sit the bench.

As far as running backs go, we need a maximum of 1. Hopefully it ends up being Devin White.

WR: Dee Anderson is a stud and Sullivan will make an impact. Maybe add one more if it's a top guy. 3 max.

Pettigrew better be the only tight end we sign unless the second coming of the Gronk wants in.

O Line we've got Campbell and hopefully Willie Allen and probably only 1 more. I agree with you there. 4 MAX.

So I'm saying MAX 11 offensive players: 2 QBs, 5 total between TEs, RBs, and WRs, and 4 OL.

Defense is a more complex situation than offense.

As far as interior DL goes, I agree with safetyman that ideally we want all these: Ed Alexander, Ed Oliver, Glen Logan, Stephon Taylor, Rashard Lawrence, and Briston Guidry.

At Linebacker we want Joyner and Divinity.

There is so much talent interested at corner for 2016. Trayvon Mullen, Kristian Fulton, John Broussard, Saivion Smith, Greedy Williams, Chad Clay. I see us taking 4-5 corners. Smith is probably the best of the bunch, but I think he will be a long shot. I really hope we go all in for Mullen. If we only get Mullen, Fulton, and Broussard I'll be more than happy.

We need a couple safeties. Anderson and Monroe are 2 top targets.

Realistically optimistic scenario on defense: We get 5 of the 6 guys I mentioned on the D Line. We get the 2 LBs I listed. We get Mullen, Fulton, Broussard, Deontay Anderson, and Monroe. We then have 2 or 3 more scholarships to play around with. Ideally these are used on LBs/Edge Rushers/Safeties.

What I'd really like to see:

Get these 19:

Franks QB
Dee Anderson WR
Sullivan WR
Pettigrew TE
Willie Allen OT
Campbell OG
Ed Alexander DL
Ed Oliver DL
Lawrence DL
Guidry DL
Logan DL
Taylor DL
Joyner LB
Divinity LB
Mullen CB
Fulton CB
Broussard CB
Deontay Anderson S
Monroe S

And add:

1.A top QB prospect
2.An Offensive Lineman
3.A Linebacker
4.An edge rusher
5.A Defensive Back-most likely another CB
6.Best man available: likely WR or DB

That's 25.
