He didn't. His talent was recognized by the U. They did their own investigation and did not believe the haters when they called to tell them they didn't want Storm.
He's a good athlete. Strong D1/pro potential. But there's a reason that so many schools have not offered him or backed off.

Keep mouth shut for what. He felt his son did not have to wait. have you checked ESPN ratings lately? I think Storm is rated higher than Sistrunk!

Is that you Storm??

I know Storm and his family. He is not a ME player. Many coaches were told this by his former high school coaches to keep his status and recruitment low and difficult. If you talked to anyone in the entire town of Loganville you would get thousands of people who would say different. He wanted to commit to LSU. Came to do that on his birthday. they knew he was coming and why, but decided when he got there different. Coach Miles told him he would not accept his committment because he felt LSU had a chance to get Sistrunck and Storm's committment would make that difficult. Storm and his parents thought Storm a good enough player that he did not have to be placed on hold. So they proceeded to look elsewhere. Too bad for LSU, he looks real good at AA practice. He also had second fastest time in skills. He will compete on TV tomorrow. Your loss LSU

Storm had offers from FSU and UF. He made it clear early in his recruitment that he wanted to play out of state, so why would Tech or UGA waste an offer? Many schools back off when it was put on the national wire that he had committed to LSU.Any other questions? I have the answers.

Bottom line is there was a line. Coaches obviously felt we had the opportunity to sign guys who were higher on the board than Storm. Storm and co didn't like this and tried to force LSU's hand by "committing" before the other guys. That's too much drama for me right there.

You can't "waste" an offer. Ask Kiffin.

yes, I do. Why are you stalking a high school kid?

It doesn't matter now. Just shows that everybodies don't know everything.

Apparently it does.

I still have not heard anything to change my opinion; 'twas a big mistake. The old high school coach sounds like a spurned lover. What kind of coach deliberately sabotages the recruitment of a former player? Why trust the word of the kids ex coach, when you know he clearly has an ax to grind?
Storm's talent should not have to play second fiddle to LS or anyone else. They aren't even the same type of back. Big mistake.

Common now, you're a U fan. You're getting a great RB. Second leading rusher this year in GA 1935 yards, 34 TDs. AJC Offensive Player of the Year. Be happy, !!!

I see why this Storm situation has you all bent out of shape, its because we have no good running backs to recruit over the next few years, oh wait....
Posted on 12/30/09 at 7:39 pm to LSUFAN09
If you had waited like you were asked you might be wearing P&G next year like you wanted to in the first place. A talent no doubt, but not one we won't survive without.

DocJerome, Here's a tidbit for you. You have reasonable understanding. His former coaches were spurned. They were scheduled to play Byrnes HS/ RB Lattimore. When Storm left they had to canceled the game. That win would have given them national ranking.
