FWIW From USA Today For the Win
quote:
Kansas Jayhawks football, by the numbers:
1 — the most Big 12 Conference victories that they have managed in any single season in the 2010s
2 — the total number of wins in two seasons under current head coach David Beaty
4 — head coaches since Mark Mangino was fired for alleged misconduct toward campus staff
5 — the total number of teams with better Class of 2018 recruiting classes than the Jayhawks, according to Rivals
Beaty secured more commitments from four-star recruits this year than he has career victories as a head coach. The 2-22 coach isn’t cheating — well, any NCAA coach might be cheating, so we shouldn’t be too definitive there — but rather seeing an opportunity and grasping it.
The transition from Louisiana and Texas to Kansas is a direct credit to Beatty and his roots. The third-year head coach arrived in Lawrence after a career as a high school coach in Texas. Still, it has taken Beatty a few years to reach the cream of the Southern crop, but this group has been helped by the addition to the coaching staff of running backs coach Tony Hull, who spent the last eight years as head coach at Warren Easton High in New Orleans.
Louisiana is the real key to the recruiting class. All six players with four- and three-star grades from Rivals in the class are from Louisiana.
Corione Harris, ranked 60th nationally, is the star of the class. He’s a 6-1 cornerback from New Orleans who committed to Kansas while being targeted by most of the Southeastern Conference, according to Rivals.

There has never been a Louisiana recruit that grew up thinking "I wanna play college football at Kansas".

First, most of these kids are not LSU level players so really why is this a topic here?
Just because a kid is from Louisiana doesn't mean LSU is interested. Whether they go to Kansas or ULL is basicly irrelevant to LSU.
I don't see the draw to go freeze your nuts off in front of an empty stadium while getting blown out on your way to a 2-10 season. But, if it makes those kids feel special then go right ahead.

We don't give a shite about a kid that wants to go to Kansas. How many fukin times does this need to be said. We don't give a fuk about these 4,5,6 recruits. Don't fukin care and best of fukin luck to them, tiger bait dog.

Cuz they have Hull, at the moment.
Because they have a running backs coach who coached HS in Louisiana, that is enticing 4 star WRs and CBs to go to Kansas? Doesn't make much sense, but then again they are young and easily fooled.

Stop pretending these kids can't go to Kansas
Y'all have your heads in the sand
This is a stupid arse game being played by pissed off coaches

Sure, it's not LIKELY that Kansas starts pulling kids but it's stupid to say these kids are all trolling.
They don't have to be trolling to change their minds. Recruits are KIDS. They change their minds all the time. How often do package deals actually pan out come signing day? How often does the emotion of a Visit wear off, and a guy decides to stay closer to home. If you think the odds are in Kansas' favor here, you're crazy.

There is a lot to learn in Kansas... like losing with grace and dignity, expectations of losing, and how to block out a loss in your mind the following week and just lose again.
These kids will soon learn that even kids in Kansas don't want to go to school there.

9 damn threads with Kansas in the title on the first page. Yeah, get a grip people.

Well it would be wise to bring every high caliber kid that they recruit to the KS game, even then, it may be loud but it will be the opposing team that dominates the crowd. This is just silly, in reality if LSU wants these kids once the season is kicked off and the facts are all laid out they would have a quick change of heart IMO. All LSU needs to do is win and look dominate while they do it. With the coaching staff we have in place I don't think that will be an issue. Good luck though

Quit bringing up the worst football program in the country and it will go away.
