yeah our QB sitch is fricked for years to come. Mett for 2 years, then Rivers/Randall with 3 years in the program under their belt. You know how many teams in the country wish they had our shitty QB situation?

Rewind the clock on this forum to the 2010 class. EVERYONE was saying "Solid class, not great but may pan out" "Next year is REALLY the class that matters"

Therefore, the expectations on our team's athletic performance exists because of the perception of the program that led our current athletes to sign with LSU.
Or as I aptly put it, our preseason ranking is due to the perception of the program 2-3 years ago.

Anything can happen man, but if that's really your concern... that because we missed out on a couple guys that the program is going to implode a couple of years down the line, I can't help you.
And yes, there will come a time when we're down again, but I think we're fine for now. If Miles would open up the offense, and the fans would keep things in perspective we'll be fine.

This recruiting class would really sting if our 2011 roster was full of seniors and juniors that declared... but that's not the case. Kids these days don't want to sit on the bench as a freshman/sophomore. Wait until this time next near.. and if we still have a "fill needs" aka underwhelming class, then it'll be time to worry.

The way the players are playing right now is why we are ranked highly, not what they were perceived two to three years ago in terms of potential.

On the brightside of all the bs in this thread, just imagine if we were Arkansas fans tonight. Lost their best wr recruit,a guy they swore was a lock all year to Missouri and basically landed a class we could piss in the wind and land. Yet we want to complain.
Mandel is a hack and uses Rivals rankings so I give no credence. I'm tired of explaining why people need to stop paying attention to Rivals rankings. Yahoo could give our best 10 posters/evaluators on this board a quarter of the money and have better rankings than they have right now.

You mean to tell me rivals doesn't do an in depth analysis on every single player? Next you'll tell me they have a bias towards larger high schools who are traditional powers.
