Nothing against Collins, I'm sure he'll be good, and Nuss is set up to do well, but will LSU ever be at the point where we are truly in the mix for the top tier QB recruits? I know we've done well in the portal, but any time I see the top of the list of quarterbacks I just assume LSU isn't in it, usually Ohio State, Georgia, Clemson, Alabama, etc.
Trust in Kelly, but I don't really know his history in terms of recruiting that position.
We've been in it with a lot of them, just never finished.
Well, we also got Walker Howard who was a 5 star when he committed.
You have to be consistently good at QB and/or consistently a top 5 team. Also, it's good to be in close proximity to a guy.

Basically this. Not to mention Hurley was a five star for 2025 until he reclassified…that statement didn’t really make sense. LSU is literally in the mix for a few upcoming elite QB recruits in the next few classes as well.

My nephew just got an offer from a team really don't like. 
Won't be mentioned for another month or 2 for some reason. Very grateful but dmnit can't wait to get him on LSU's campus. Took a visit while our DL coach was still with USCe. Hopefully the reconnect soon. Would be my dream.

I'm 100% certain that the only way some of you fans will ever consider LSU a destination for a Quarterback will be when we sign a Manning, Booty, and the top California QB prospect of that year all before signing day. Kelly is aboslutely in on the cream of the recruiting world for all of our need positions and pretty much a qb every year in the coming future.
