Get that from Texags? While Minton is very pro-LSU (like pretty much every Louisiana HS coach is), Phillips wanted to visit LSU this week

All you have to do is watch the Big Cat Drill video from yesterday and see Wilson and La'el attached to his hip to find out why he changed his mind.

The question was, "can LSU get this guy?" Uhh, it now looks like a resounding YES.
But I don't get it. Why is Lorenzo waiting? Why not commit to LSU right now?

I don't know for sure but i'm getting the impression from his quotes that he really likes both schools and just doesn't want to make an uninformed decision.He commited to TAM admittedly without really knowing how our Lbs are coached or used in Chavis' scheme.That's why the visit Thursday was so big and forced him to decommit.He finally got to see what the LSU LB spots were really about and made the decision to get more information before making a decision.I also have a strong feeling that he wasn't quite sure just how bad LSU really wanted him.No facts to back that up just the way i read it.TAM(to their credit)has shown him a lot of love and made him a primary target and to me he just wasn't feeling that LSU wanted him the same.To me that is a benefit of OOS schools recruiting Louisiana.They know when deciding to target a kid from LA that they're going to have to push very hard from the get go in order to have a chance with the kid.The LSU staff is very wary of offering LA kids and pushing for commitments without being positive that the player is a keeper because more times than not the kid will commit.It would be the same with us going in to TAM territory trying to pull Malcolm Brown or Tim Cole.We'd have to push much harder to get in the door and have a chance.

Maybe he said decommited... If that's the case I feel like a major ahole right now and would like to apologize for my previous comments. Except for the one about coach. I stand by that one.

Minton is definitely very Pro-LSU, but for people to assume he is pressuring Phillips in any way is just a joke

Exactly. It ticks me off when people say stuff like that too make a coach ( or anybody for that matter) look bad so they can feel better about themselves. You were wrong, get over it, move on.

Pedro what years did you go to Patterson? Did you play football or just a fan? I am just curious. I am from Berwick but know a bunch of people in Patterson and when you said you thought Phillips would stay with Tam it really threw me off. Patterson is a huge LSU town. To be honest I can't imagine any kid from Patterson that would get an LSU offer and turn it down. As far as Mintion changing his mind I agree with you I don't think Tommy would tell him not to goto Tam, but I do think he would tell him to slow down and make sure he at least heard what LSU was selling.

Currently playing. I based my decision off of something I heard him say the other day but he probably said that before really talking to the coaches at lsu. I wouldn't be suprised if coach did that. But people were making it seem like he harassed him into decommiting.
