So do we get Mathis back now?

He signed one of these Rev-share thingies and went into portal. Sue him and the school he rides in on!

Was just coming here to ask the same question. If Mathis had already signed and then trying to maneuver into the portal and we getting all this news about Williams, wouldn't that mean Mathis would have to do the same thing?

I guess depends on the language of the contract. Did the sec add language to every rev share contract?

guess it would depend on the wording of the contract he signed.... but even then, if the next team is willing to pay all the associated costs, then it wouldn't matter...
the contract Williams signed didn't prevent him from transferring... it's just that it made him way too expensive for anyone to actually follow thru with it... had LSU been willing to part with the money and rev share, he would be transferring to us, but $8 million, plus the loss of $4million of the rev share is a steep price to pay

Okay thanks. For some reason the way it was worded earlier today I thought Mathis had signed to come back to LSU so obviously if he never signed he has the right to move on. Thank you for answering the question

Mathis concerned we signed 2 DT in portal and signed two 5 star DL. He has legit concerns. Could get him back but I feel his pain.
