So did McKinley Jackson show up or not?

I just read two different posts with one saying he didn't come and another saying he did come per Shea. So what's the real situation?

He was not expected to show, but he did show according to Shea and Billy Embody.

If he did show up with bama having their jr day at the same time I really see this as a big statement. Not a statement like a commit would be, but it does say a lot. I really hope LSU gets this guy. If LSU can get McKinley and Jacobian to go along with the ones already committed they will have the best dline in the nation. Depending on who all they get I'd tend to believe they may even want 4 on the dline at the same time. I mean, if you got the beat to play it, play the 4-3. But, having that depth is great playing a 3-4 too.

And people on this board are saying “this race is over” “move on” “he’s not ours” point is every recruitment and kid is different. Why should we stop recruting him just because he’s a big time player from Mississippi who decomitted from us? We shouldn’t.

I must confess I was one of those. I mean, I try my best to always be positive but sometimes I just call it the way I see it and that's what I was seeing. With the Kenyon Green and Jaren Handy deal last season I was expecting this to be another. Looks like I was wrong, and I'm so glad to be wrong.

According to the Bama recruiting mega thread, he was at their jr day last month.
"Alabama could very well be in the driver’s seat in Jackson’s recruitment at this time, although he hasn’t said it. UA hosted the nation’s top defensive lineman for Junior Day last month."

Seems like it's at least one recruit per year guys post the "move on he's not coming here" post. Some of the guys that ended up signing with LSU...

It’s going to come down to the end of it. I say it’s an LSU, Bama battle till the end, but Ole Miss will throw a lot of stuff his way.

Big difference is those were all in state guys. I hope like hell we can get McKinley back, but it’s a different fight than those three you mentioned.

And we usually do. Wouldnt be suprised if one popped up in March during spring practice.
Never stop chasing Jackson just dont expect him or turn off other targets because of him. Recruit him as a cherry on top.

Interesting, thought the reason LSU combined Boys from The Boot and their national jr day last recruiting cycle was NCAA/ SEC rules compliance.
