I have a feeling this has more to do with our 2015 RB commits than Fournette.

They are already committed and if LF is as good as we think, he'll be 3 and done (smart for RBs to go early because of short careers).

He saw we will have a lot of talent for years at the position.

Sucks because I really wanted him in this class, but good luck to the kid.

Wish him all the luck.
Hopefully he can come back from that knee injury as well.
Unfortunately Blue and Broussard had trouble coming back but someone like Ridley has done OK coming off injury.

Why not wish the kid well? He IS a kid after all still a HS senior. I was really looking forward to seeing him play in Tiger Stadium after getting to see him play AT EA the last 2 years. But. I'm not going to hate the kid for following his heart.

How anyone would be happy after sitting in 15 degree weather is amazing.

I would have been miserable.

Okla St has a few Polynesian players that were his hosts and he really felt at home with them, they don't have family in Stillwater. Two weeks ago, his Dad told me HE wanted Boo to go on this trip, but Boo didn't want to go. Dad and Gundy convinced him to make the trip, Dad wanted a "little vacation," ( his exact words.)
He worked his tail off to get the LSU offer, there were no others he wanted more. Obviously this weekend changed that.
The moving here to get exposure is another myth. With family in Texas, California and Utah, why move to GONZALES for exposure???

Well the way I see this is everything is coming down to the wire now. Once a kid commits, it's either goinging to be the best decision he made in his life or the worst. With so muching on the line with playing time and getting reps in practice not to mention the next year's recruiting class. I think the kid deserves a break from all the bashing he has received because truth be told if it was your own kid you would want to make sure he was making the right decision. Now with that being said i think the approach by LSU's coaching staff of telling kids to take other visits to make sure this is where you want to be works both ways. They probably offered a 100 kids this year only to sign 25 If it's a kid who they may want to greyshirt or redshirt it gives both sides an option. If the kid is a priority then don't say it if you don't mean it. Other school, once you commit then still take other visits they pull their offer. I think that Coach Miles and staff do a great job looking out for both LSU's interest and also the Recruits.

We've got a bad habit of not staying in contact with commits/recruits. We hear this over and over that "so and so just seemed to want me more," etc.
I haven't spoken to Boo's Dad yet, but I think he was feeling ignored by LSU and OSU was making him a big time priority.

Well, I don't believe it's a myth. I don't remember if it was him or his dad quoted in the article a while ago, but they basically said exposure in Utah is got garbage compared to sec country. That moving here was a long term strategy to get to the nfl.

As far as Stillwater, if they don't have family there, then my opinion shifts. Good for him. Better than going to ole miss.

So from what you gather (I know you don't have the full story yet), LSU didn't pull his offer or tell him to look around. He just made the visit and switched on his own accord?

I can understand this, and it probably happens at other schools too. It is easy to forget your committs and turn your focus on getting the other guys. Best of luck to Sione and I am glad to see that we are keeping it positive on this board for the most part!

Yes I think the Tigers are in much better shape than we were a few months back. But that only my opinion. I can only speak for certainty about one recruit.

Sometimes I think this forum reads like a teen's facebook pages.
