Very novel idea, someone will probably pass it on to the coaching staff....

But seriously, recruiting is a player by player basis. JUCO guys go that route for mainly 2 reasons if they have aspirations of playing FBS. One, they are grade casualties. Second, behavior/trouble.

Yes, in theory it looks like a great way to add college ready players at positions of need. If there were no signing limits, this would happen more. Also as was the case this year, no sure thing the JUCO guy, even after graduating from said junior college can still qualify.

LSU has always been a cherry-picker when it comes to JUCO guys, while some of our other SEC brethren are more active. All based on your recruiting philosophy and the dynamic of your recruiting base.

For instance Freeze and Mullen more so, have very good relationships with the huge MS JUCO system, but they need it more so in a state with such a small population and archaic football play.

The ms juco system is also stacked. Lot of great talent comes out of those schools.

Who says we aren't. I know Isaiah Buggs was told to take care of business and he'd be part of next year's class. He had 3 A's and a B this summer, looks to be ready

Not if 4-5 four and five stars come on board in January.

had a lot of attrition at the position recently that was unexpected so maybe some this cycle but for the most part just keep getting studs

We are about to pull the greatest DT class in the history of CFB more than likely and you want us to get a couple JUCOs?

We already have Alexander and Logan committed with Gary, Manuel, Lawrence, Elliot, Taylor and Blacklock all interested in us. You dont turn down those guys to go get a "meh" JUCO guy.

We are just fine. Godchaux and LaCouture held up just fine. Also Gilmore and Herron were solid. We even have a 5th year Sr. Q. Thomas available for emergency. We also will have a great class in 2016 with Logan and Alexander already onboard.

The issue is conservative play calling and going 3& out too much forced them to be on the field. Take the handcuffs off of BH!! He can play and take pressure of the D and LF!!!

This. Very few teams out there have 6 guys that are interchangeable for when the D is forced on the field an entire half. The D's issues weren't depth, it was TOP.

Need 2 elite Juco linebackers...one middle and one outside that can come in January.

LSU's offense had the ball for 33 minutes in that game.

TOP is meaningless stat.
State ran 20 more plays than we did. The defense was on the field for "81" snaps!
Way too many.

We're not recruiting any. Although I even think we should get 1 (there just isnt really any out there that stand out).

We'll get some big time freshman backers though in Fowler and Divinity (also Thornton)...we need a few more though. McCullough would be huge.

Irony is that LSU lead TOP in both the first and second half. Not sure what you're talking about but maybe review first

Unfortunately that's normal nowadays in college football. Teams are running a lot more plays. Deal with it just like every other team.

I think the point here is MSU wouldnt have had 81 snaps had our offense not gone uber conservative mode and kept giving the ball back to MSU so much.

There's no way to know if that's true or not. Harris couldve been sacked, thrown a pick or an incomplete pass...stopping the clock. All of you guy's certainties are just "what ifs" shut up and move on. Jesus effing christ.

BTW, miss st was running a hurry up....that's why they got so many plays. All of those incomplete passes, were plays. Stop being so singular and actually look at the shite instead of spewing incomplete info
