It sounds like Brad Davis has made him priority #1. He's being sold on coming in taking a RS and then starting right away after Will Campbell. Or the RT spot depending on how it shakes with Zalance coming in.

Never getting my hope up for Simmons. With Texas and money, TAMU with money, Venables at Oklahoma, Bama, and UGA gunning for a 5 star top 10 DE prospect not from Louisiana, it's damn near the realm of impossible. Now a safety prospect like the Dotson-Walker kid, I can see that.

I mean it’s LSU…a prominent national brand in college sports. Elite talent come to LSU as well. Wouldn’t say impossible and there’s a good chance, considering the early thick smoke with Simmons, Dotson, and Duncanville-LSU dynamic. LSU has a good history with Texas recruits and can and will pay. Literally just landed a five star defensive line recruit from the Mid-Atlantic with interest from every player.

Simmons is an absolute must get. I’ve watched him the last two seasons here in the metroplex and he’s truly unblock-able.

All I'm saying is that, don't get your hopes up for this one. Lot of people get their hopes up real high for these crazy elite out of state guys, then blame recruits, coaches, and NIL.

if it is true that Simmons family is pretty much offering him up to the highest bidder, I do not see LSU obtaining his signature.

We will see…most of these kids are bid on…not sure why it’s hard to grasp LSU obtaining a high ranking recruit as they’ve done over the past quarter century.

K’lavon Chaisson and BJ Ojulari say hello. Texas was huge on K’lavon’s recruitment and BJ’s brother was at Georgia when we convinced him to choose the good guys.
Heck, another poster above also mentioned that we stole a 5 star edge from Maryland (Womack) this very recruiting cycle and every big time program wanted him.
It’s not nearly as far fetched as you’re making it sound. Even recently. Simmons has visited LSU many more times than anywhere else from all reports. Trust what the kid does, not what they say about their recruitment.
