probably a really good thing Florida's staff hasn't figured out the recruiting thing yet.

O recruited his priority list like any other coach. Where is TE on Clemson's list to get an offer so late?

Not such a good idea to slow play home town kids. Going all in for Akers did not work out so well
This was fricking stupid from the get go. A top notch, in state running back, and you virtually ignore him??? Instead, go for a guy in Cam Akers who you had a slim and none chance in getting...

Said this yesterday, and many echoed it, but people didn't want to hear it.
Him announcing before his official to us was not good.

So Etienne is mad at LSU caused they waited to offer him......However, he isn't mad at Clemson cause they waited to offer him.

He was much less of a priority for Clemson obviously by them not offering him until the 11th hour. We have been on him much longer than them, but they are the trendy pick right now fresh off of a championship.

There is no fence. That's already a reality.
Dylan Moses --> Alabama
Chris Allen --> Alabama
Travis Etienne --> Clemson
Isaiah Buggs (JUCO) --> Alabama
Devonta Smith --> Strong lean to Alabama
Phidarian Mathis --> Possibly Alabama
If all of this plays out, you're looking at LSU losing the majority of the top 10 players in the state.
And the "coaching transition" excuse doesn't apply when your former recruiting coordinator is your head coach, and almost the entire coaching staff has been retained.

National championship excuses that.

I've never been impressed with Etienne
That's always the case when a recruit decides to go elsewhere.
When he commits to LSU he is the best in the nation.

Is this rumor, or where's all the smoke coming from??

Yes it will. Things have really seemed to cool down here in the last couple of days.
Etienne - I think we got on him way too late.
Gay - I don't think he is leaving Mississippi.
Phillips - When it is all said and done I think he sticks with Oklahoma.
Chaisson - Is going to Texas.
This will really suck balls!!

If he goes to LSU I'll still think he's average at best until he proves otherwise. I've always been fine with taking just CEH this year and filling up next year.

Gotta love LSU recruiting. One hour it's up and OMG possibly the best recruiting finish ever, and then the next it's melt, melt, and more melt.
I learned to not get my hopes up and simply take everything as it comes. Never got my hopes up about Etienne and for very good reason that everyone has mentioned before. LSU waiting for Akers was possibly the worst thing they could've done in regards to Etienne's recruitment.
If they come, they come.

Etienne is not an immediate impact player on the college lev like LF, but in 3 years he will be a force. That's why he's a take if you can get him.
Is he going to magically develop the ability to make people miss in the next 3 years? Kids got straight line speed and that's it. I'd say he'd be a decent third down back but he can't catch for shite. Screw wasting a scholarship on a player who isn't LSU caliber.

In fairness Etienne wasn't in Clemson back yard either.
Etienne was probably a last resort for Clemson. TE was right in LSU backyard.
So it makes more sense for him to be Clemson back up plan.
