Saban suggesting Fournette move to LB

Read in a previous Fournette post that Saban suggested Fournette move to LB and it pissed him off.
If true, which I could believe, that's a clear sign Fournette would fit best as a Tiger. Saban is basically telling him we have such a big running back committee that we could better use him as a linebacker. Conclusion, come to LSU and play the position you were gifted at.
Note: Rumor I saw on here, no link...just want clarification

Now all we need is Saban to tell Cam that he wants him to be Jack linebacker and we got him locked up.

it was a rumor about 8 months ago. Saban wanted his potnuh Cyril Cruthfield to move LF to defense and groom him for the jack LB position at Bama, but LF told him, "THE RB YAAAAALL" and that was the end of that.

I thought the rumor was just refueled by LF telling that story to an LSU commit this past week. I could be mistaken

not sure about Vince Young and Saban but with RG3 that was the case of why he chose Baylor over LSU...very sad story in hindsight...we could have all remembered 1\9 differently

Just to clarify I saw it on a post on this board without a link. I could only assume it would be slightly true considering bama's running back depth and was hoping someone else could elaborate on it. If true, I think its awesome saban fudged up. Come on down LF!

It's very true that they suggested a move to the defensive side of the ball. They know the only way they could have got him is to try to persuade him to play defense especially bc of the logjam at rb. Also was told that they didnt see him as a pure rb and would be better served on the defensive side of the ball.
