Thought hill should have played more and we should have pounded the rock more in first half and wore those d lineman out. Nevertheless, splitting carries and not wearing our rb's out is one of the reasons Lsu backs do well in the nfl. They're not burned up.

I don't know the breakdown of run/pass in the first half, but it seems like we weren't running the ball very effectively.
As for rotating backs, that was the case in 2011 and 2012 over the entire season, though in both cases 1 RB was the primary back for part of the season, but gave way to others, in 11 Ware got worse, especially after his suspension, last year Blue got hurt, but for the most part, LSU under Miles has used 1 feature back. In 2010 Ridley had 249 carries which avg something like 19.15/pgame. By contrast Ingram avg around 19.35 in 2009 when he won the Heisman.

They will be thankful they didn't have 30 carried a game and 900 carries in their college careers when they aren't worn the frick out in the NFL
Tread on the tires. its good in the long term

sounds good in theory, but doesn't really hold true.

getting hit on by SEC defenses 250+ times puts a wear on the body. that isn't a theory.

Not all "SEC" defenses are like 2011 LSU and Alabama. There are guys that have gottent plenty of carries in college both inside and outside the SEC (getting hit 250 times in BigXII or Big10 is not a pillow fight) that have had long careers in the NFL and others that have not.
ETA: I should say my contention is a theory as well because I have seen any evidence 1 way or the other and im basing it on ancedotes
