Sorry Dan, just saw your Brassell comment. You know we've agreed on a variety of topics on here for years. Don't act so surprised that we have the some of the same players in mind.

the one thing that scared me off was the number of quality LBs we're expected to sign next year

The only thing I will say to that is next year is next year.

Last year, I loved MLB Max Bollough from Mich. ST. After looking at a few things, I noticed that in 2011, they had already received a commit from Lawrence Thomas, who was looked at as a MLB. So I passed knowing that he would not get much PT, due to Thomas being a beast. Well, a year later, Bullough played at Mike in all 13 games, and Thomas is listed as a DE.

Draft for this year and let the rest sort itself out. Next year is a long way off.

Both of your last two picks were guys I strongly considered with my last pick.

Me too. I wanted him pretty badly and then ended up with Austin Gray. I was very happy with Gray considering Iowa's tradition at LB. Then the bastard dropped out of school!!!!

I drafted Bullough and then swapped him in the Enfuego round for Jeff Luc. I also had LaDarius Owens (RS), David Wilkerson (hurt), and Chris Young (JUCO). Not looking like I traded back the right guy after one season!

The only guy I swapped was Carlton Martin, DT Ole Miss for Ricky Heimuli, DT Oregon. Heimuli played in all 13 games and will get a ton of PT this year, if not start. Martin rode the pine last year, and looks to still be buried for the time being.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

Yes, highly unusual; I know.

Wait when do we get to swap?

Hopefully we don't. We had 5 or so guys either quit or get run after drafting quite a few players. We had "supplemental" rounds once the draft was over. It was quite controversial and entertaining.

Yeah, I know a lot of other guys are coming in, but Randle seems made to take over for Clemmons/Hatcher, so I think he gets some PT and earns a spot in a year or two. The LBers from 2012 will likely be MLB and SLB IMO.

Steve Miller, DE, Ohio State

This is a pick that I went back and forth on. His senior film has flashes of a player that could be a dominant DE, and in the end, his upside was too much to pass up. His biggest battle will be mental.

How many rounds are we doing this year. I know 22 players on the field but are we just doing 2 extra?
