I'll take Chase Hounshell. I guess he's my Center. ESPN lists him as a DT. Scout lists him as a DE. Rivals lists him as an OT.
Couple of articles suggest ND recruited him to play end, but how the hell is he ever going to get time over all the other studs they recruited there. I see a move to OL in his future. Solid offer list and was once a Gator.
So yeah, that's it.

Alright, since some azzhole took my quarterback --I'm looking at you Fonz-- and subject to Pasty's ruling on greyshirts, my quarterback will be:
Maxwell Smith, QB, Kentucky
Some Kentucky fans say he's a future star. Some say he'll never see the field. This is a guy that played in a Wing-T offense up until his senior year. When he wasn't getting any scholarship offers, he started, as he put it, cold calling coaches. I think he ended up with an offer from Fresno State and a greyshirt offer from Kentucky. This is a very smart quarterback that makes good decisions and throws a very catchable ball. He's been coached by family friend and former NFL quarterback Erik Kramer (I hope he picked up some of that moxy) and Andre Woodson is back at Kentucky as a GA and has kind of taken him under his wing.
If Pasty rules that greyshirts aren't allowable, I'll repick a sometime mid-day.

Joker seems to know what he's doing with QBs.

This is OBUDan's party, so he has final say, but I don't see a problem with Greyshirts. As long as they are eligible and weren't selected previously, it is cool the way I understand it.

This post is also on the OP now.
The plan moving forward is to manage your team in a SIMILAR way to a real program. This isn't entirely finalized yet, but the framework seems quite logical (if there is such a thing when you consider we are playing freaking high school/recruiting fantasy football).
Owners planning on moving forward with this thing will be required to provide their emails at a minimum, so if you haven't already done so, please provide that to OBUDan AND Pasty. In the email, let us know your TD handle. Each year, you will have a max of 25 players to select, but will be limited to a total roster of 85. As your guys either graduate (or go to prison), you will replace them with new selections. You may decide to cut guys if they don't pan out. Owners that bail or get kicked out over time will have their spots and rosters offered up to new guys interested in this game. We still don't know how we will decide winners/leaders, but we are getting there. My opinion is we should let each owner rate the players at the end of each season without including their own team. The average rankings determine the scoreboard. The floor is now open for questions. If you want in or out, let us know. No response means no interest!
So that adds one more round to this year's draft!!!

So if I'm reading correctly, there is no restriction on who I can draft from year to year.
In other words, I don't have to draft a QB, RB, FB, 2 WRs, 5 OL, et cetera. All I have to do is to make sure I have depth at all positions and if one of my positions is not performing well, that would be my #1 priority to draft the following season.
Or, is it still draft a "complete" team every year, and each year stands alone from each other?
The 85 limit might get a little confusing and next to impossible to police correctly. I say drafting 22+2 (or 25 now), is fine. Combining all players into one team is feasible, so I'm up for that one as well.

Will this years team be the first set of players in?

I think we continue to draft a complete team through next year. By the following, we will have choices to make to stay under the limit.

I am not worried about policing that much. There is no money at stake. Just bragging rights. Prior to the draft, each owner will submit his roster going in and declare how many players will be drafted. That is when you make your cuts if necessary. You can't make cuts until the 4th draft. You are stuck with your picks until then.

If we are combining every years draft class, I would think it would only be fair to the new teams that we start this year.
However, I just can't see getting rid of all that work we did last year. Something can be figured out.

Nah. Anybody who picked last year will want to keep their guys. First year guys will just have less depth until cuts begin. It won't be perfect, but should be fun.
