BayouCatFan selects Sal Conaboy OG
ESPN-Conaboy has the height we like to see for the guard position at the major level of competition. It appears his frame will allow him put on additional weight over time. Shows good flexibility and quickness coming out of stance; is explosive when double teaming with the ability to slide to 2nd level linebackers. Has good balance and agility when playing in space. When he gets his hands on linebackers it usually results in a pancake block. Demonstrates very good technique in the trap game; shows good technique, pulling with balance and explosion at the point of attack; understands when and how to seal inside; good blocking a moving target. This is a tough, aggressive finisher that plays with explosion and playing strength. We have yet to see him single block when covered by a down lineman or drop back pass protect. However in all aspects of his game he is a dominant player. Conaboy is a highly rated prospect at the major level of competition
BayouCatFan selects Kevin Smith ATH
ESPN-Smith is a thick and powerful skilled athlete. He possesses both speed and quickness along with very good football instincts and reactions. A very versatile football player that can play on either side of the football and on special teams. Really is impressive as a wide receiver. Speeds off the line of scrimmage and can get upfield in a hurry. A very solid route runner that can plant and break out of the route like a veteran. Has soft and sure hands and catches the football away fromn his body. Secures the reception, puts the ball away and heads upfield. Makes difficult catches and displays great concentration on the football; makes acrobatic receptions at times. Wins the one on one battles when going up against defensive backs in one on one situations. Gets high into the air when going up for the football; vertical leaping ability is exceptional. A real threat to take the reception the distance; talented runner with the football under his arm. Has some real shake and bake as a runner. As a return specialist can make tacklers miss in the openfield and has powerful thighs making him difficult to bring down. A sound and steady safety that is a very good centerfielder that can play the deep ball and also breaks quickly on passes thrown in front of him. Needs to hone his tackling skills; sometimes dives at the ankles or tries to cut tackle instead of exploding up and through the ball carrier. Smith has a bright future in front of him because of his many skills, speed and competitive nature. He really has a chance to excel at the next level.

ATH Jarred Haggins signed with FSU.
Great offer list, just don't know if I want him as a WR or a NB.

I was looking at him. I think he will do very well under Foster. Good pick this late IMO.

We are getting there....We have 3 rds remaining and then some sort of supplemental round to deal with the players on teams that bailed.
Fun stuff.

Matt Rotheram - OG (Pittsburgh)
6'6, 310
5.8 40yd
Big road grader of an offensive lineman. Plays hard, to the whistle and looks to bury his man. Powerful kid who plays with good leverage in the running game, but is best in a short area and does not have great speed. Incredible offer list according to Rivals.

It really hasn't been that bad. I can pick my few guys for my next pick and just wait until my turn comes up again.
Suggestions for next year:
Lets wait until Mid March so the rantards have left after NSD.
Not as many teams as we originally started off with. I think the group we have now is pretty good.
Get info from everyone before hand so you can contact them regarding their pick, etc.
Overall, it's been a good experience and way better than the our coaches suck, our qbs suck, our o line sucks and why can't we get better recruits threads.

This is not True?!?

It really pisses me off when people bring up that Miles can not recruit. Les lost 3 top 100 Rivals commits, and still placed in the top 10. Pretty good in my opinion, with the state of La having a down year.
P.S. Hurry up, man. I want to pick soon!
