I dont understand why anything has to be done with the players on the rosters of guys who dropped out. If people are cherry picking their drafts because they see who is going to be available then the spirit of our draft is ruined. Just throw them of the draft entirely. Who cares if 15-20 players are not eligible?

I'm still pretty torn about it.

If there are a lot of people that drop out, enough to where most people left in it would get a pick out of the first 2 or 3 rounds would get a pick, I think we should do it. If it's only 4 or 5 teams that drop out, it's not a good idea.

If we do do it, it should be an after the fact "bonus draft". You have to boot one of your players to get one of theirs.

Sorry if this is irrelevant, unwanted, already considered, or just plain annoying, but I have a suggestion. You guys should keep your rosters for four years and award the "championship" based on the points given for awards and titles - All American, leading in tackles, high rankings, etc. It would be fun, but it would be hard to wait four years - unless you keep a running roster each year. Anyway.

Definitely been considered, but I know why you wouldn't want to read 40+ pages to find it

I'm going to keep each roster though and give updates.

Yeah, that would definitely be part of the plan.

I suggest we wait until the end to see about a supplemental draft. My answer would probably depend on how many teams go enfugo and how many players are available. If we wind up with a lot of people dropping out in round 17 we should redraft because that's a lot of players. If we only lose four or five teams and they all drop out soon I don't mind keeping them out. IMO/IMHO.

It's kind of a shame because I thought fightingsaint3 had a really good team

I vote to not redraft but everyone gets 2 FA which include players who were abandoned by there owners and ones who simply weren't picked.

Start free agency at a designated time and its free for all to see who can get there 2 first. This way is quick easy and fun.

It's not a bad idea, but it has a couple painful repercussions.

1) I'd get first stab at any 2 players I wanted. Which is pretty unfair.
2) It penalizes anyone who happens to be busy when it starts and whatnot. Basically everyone would have to be sitting there refreshing when the players were released.

I'm not sure what the fairest way to do it is. I do like the idea of having to remove one of your drafted players if you wanted one of those guys that way there is some sort of thought going into and not just quickest to the draw to pick up the best pieces available.

How about two separate sessions? This way they preference will be spread around.

Also, who would decide? OBUDan is a part of this.

Maybe we could get Chicken to call it.

depending on how many players are available you could do a random shuffle of those of us sticking with it so that the order of picks is of the players is completely unknown until that order is released and draw a little interest at the end of the draft, kinda like a lottery
