Someone took Heaps round 1. But it's only the 2nd guy off the board.

Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!

I was hoping he would keep slipping. I'm really shocked he hadn't been picked before this because I think he's probably one of the few "sure bet" QB's in a weak class of QBs.

Good pick-up though.

Tiger PHANATICK takes Cecil Whiteside

And I'm pissed about it because I wanted him badly

I guess for you it's better that he was taken now, because I would have taken him the spot before you if he would have kept slipping.

Oh well, on to my back-up plan at QB.

I had planned on taking Whiteside instead of Bryant, but all the receivers were coming off the board. I figured if I was taking Newton will such a high pick I better give him an elite talent at receiver.

Anyone who watched the UnderArmor game knows all about Whiteside. He is going to be VERY good.

I had to battle between him and Khairi Fortt. But I choose Whiteside becuase of All star game performance. Rivals were high on both and thier videos looked great but with Lemonier, Floyd that side of the field is locked down. I have to go offensive for my next two picks.

Watch what you say when it comes to drafting.

I was dead set on getting a DL in round two and the two guys that I wanted were Ego or Marsh. Both were gone, and instead of trying to reach for another Dlineman, I grabbed a great LT instead.

Draft the best player available, barring doubling at one position, and your team will be better for it.

There are many different approaches to this....

Absolutely, that is why this kind of thing is fun. It can be run many different ways. But through my experience with fantasy football, which is what this is basically, this works much better than most.

I'd agree. Which is why I took Ambles ahead of a DE even though I coveted a DE more.

Based on who you already have, I'd imagine you would want to talk to Mike Ditka as TE coach and Ray Horton as DB coach.
