2024 recruits to keep an eye on/has interest in LSU

Kailin Chio- Elite Gymnast
Katelyn Jong- Elite Gymnast
Kaliya Lincon- Elite Gymnast
Lexi Zeiss- Elite/LV 10 Gymnast
Lilly Bruce- Level 10 Gymnast
Levi Jung-Ruivivar- Elite Gymnast
Avery Neff- LV 10 Gymnast
Joscelyn Roberson- Elite Gymnast
Lilly Pederson- LV 10 Gymnast
Taylor Clark- LV 10 Gymnast

This is a promising group of 2024 recruits. I wasn't able to find much on Lilly Bruce L-10. I was pleasantly surprised to see several 1.5 Yurchenko vaults with solid sticks and some double full Y vaults that look good.

Jay must appreciate the L-10 bar routines that are executed with great form and nice skills. It would be awesome for LSU to get commitments from some of these girls.

Thats why Kylie Coen was a crazy high priority. We are lucky she chose LSU over Florida, she is the real deal. Unfortunately didn't compete this season due to a injury but her bars are phenomenal but she does every event exceptionally well.

I think they ideally want a nice balance between elites and level 10 gymnasts. There are things elites bring more to the table than Level 10's but there are things Level 10 kids offer that are more attractive as well.

Elites in general have higher potential (obviously from skillset and training background) but level 10's tend to transition quicker to NCAA. Their routines coming from level 10 are made for that. Elites, while extremely polished, its definitely an adjustment competing much more often and the training reps are significantly reduced. I recall a interview with Alyona after her freshmen year, she mentioned that was the most difficult thing, is learning to train routines while not having all those reps.

Kailin Chio- Gymcats Gymnastics
Katelyn Jong- Metroplex Gymnastics
Kaliya Lincon- WOGA
Lexi Zeiss- Twin City Twisters
Lilly Bruce- WCC
Levi Jung-Ruivivar- Twin City Twisters
Avery Neff- Olympus Gymnastics
Joscelyn Roberson- North East Texas Elite Gymnastics
Lilly Pederson- Flips Gym Minnesota
Taylor Clark- Florida Elite Gym

Not sure Texas Dreams has much this cycle anyways. Don't quote me on that, just can't think of any at the top of my head.

Do you know which Jay is focusing on/thinks are more realistic? For example, I love Levi JR's form, but I would guess that she has UCLA written all over her, just from a location/family/background perspective.

I know they definitely want Chio, Levi, and have been watching Lexi Zeiss closely for years. Avery Neff has really come along recently, I think she will end up being one of their top targets from level 10. I know they watched her at JO's this year and came away super impressed.

Avery Neff has a lot of promise for College gymnastics. She presents well and is clean with good skills. She is from Utah and most likely Tom Farden is going to be all over her recruiting. She is also the type of gymnast KJ Kindler likes to recruit. I trust Jay /Garrett will stay on top of this if they are interested in a commitment.

Lilly Pederson L-10 has a really nice bar set as well as a 1.5 Yurchenko vault. Avery 's vault is nice also.

Roberson is one I have had my eye on for a couple of years now. She has incredible difficulty which will not be needed in NCAA but she has decent form. She reminds me a lot of Susan Jackson. I’ve always felt she would fit in at LSU, gymnastics wise.

Jocelyn Roberson competes fearlessly. I love to watch her. She's another strong recruit that will be an asset to a college team.

Did you see that Avery Neff is the number #1 recruit according to CGN.

She is definitely one of the best recruits. Neff I know will be getting a lot of attention, many from Utah seem to think they have a good shot.

I'm not sure of who out of the 2024 group I feel super confident about quite yet (contrary to 23 where I knew LSU stood with Coen and Konnor). That said I imagine if they get top kids to campus there will land very good recruits as always.

One gymnast I think that likes LSU a lot is Lexi Zeiss. Here her recent training at national team camp

Kailin Chio said LSU is one of her top schools but she will likely take her time and go on visits.

Lexi's bar segment is really nice. I know Jay likes a good bar worker and we could use help on that event. Thank you for sharing!

I see CGN has Zoe Miller as a low 4 star rated recruit, its funny comparing her rating to many above her.

Yes, Zoe should be a 5 Star. CGN ratings are often questionable .

Rumors going around Alabama 23 commit Jamison Sears is talking to other schools. LSU and Georgia are two schools that I have been told right now.

Rated a 5 star recruit for 23 class

Vanessa Deniz is transferring from Oklahoma to @UGAGymnastics. Georgia is on a roll with transfers and commitments which leads one to believe that CKC knows this coming season needs to make a statement.

Couple other kids to watch out for, Danielle Ferris and Kelsey Slade

Slade (5 star recruit) is a teammate of our current 2023 commit Leah Miller. Had multiple 10s this past year and broke into the 39s in the AA

Ferris would be a much tougher pull since she is from Florida
