There are rumors that Alexa A-H is no longer on the Georgia gymnastics team.

That would be a pretty significant loss. Big time bar worker

They had about 800 freshmen last season...no way they could all stay

Oh no! Hope it’s not true. Her release on bars was extremely high. I enjoyed watching her on bars.

Two of our Freshman are in the TOP TEN!
The Most Anticipated Incoming 2020 Freshmen in the All Around taken from COLLEGE GYM NEWS
TOP TEN
7. KAI RIVERS, LSU (38.550)
Bars is her standout piece, but Rivers brings great gymnastics on just about every event.
1. KIYA JOHNSON, LSU (39.049)
Johnson appeared in the top half of all of the event lists; with all-around clean gymnastics partnered with style and difficulty, it’s no wonder she came out on top.

Kiya is considered by many to be #1 recruit of this entire class. Was big time to flip her from Georgia. Kai will be big time for us as well as long as she can stay healthy. Her all around score was down last year due to not being able to do much floor with an injury
Alyona will have a significant impact as well once we get her healthy. I think she upgrades 2 routines for us on bars and beam

Is there any official word on Ashlyn Kirby? Is there a reason why there is secrecy regarding her status? (or maybe there’s no secrecy, but just the way departures are always handled?)

She does not recover well from injuries

See...more secrecy! Haha! I’m just curious whether she’s on or off the team. She wasn’t in that breast cancer awareness photo, which made me think she’s off the team.

She is still with the team but not on the team. More of a manager role position now.

2020 girls are suppose to come this weekend. Will update as they come in. Bryant is in route to BR right now.
Posted on 10/25/19 at 8:23 am to Tigerbait357
Will recruits be there also?
Posted on 10/25/19 at 8:25 am to Bayougallc
That is other recruits besides 2020 girls?
Posted on 10/25/19 at 2:19 pm to Bayougallc
As of right now, I see Olivia Dunne, Haleigh Bryant, Elena Arenas, and Chase Brock. Maddie Rau (camp kid and Rutgers commit) possibly. Rau has a nice 1 1/2 vault. She has a lot of catching up to do from her injuries. She use to be a former elite.
Sierra Ballard is also in attendance watching the inter squad right now.

I’m so excited for the 2020 class. In all actuality (barring injury or some other unforeseen circumstance), this class will only need to replace 7 routines...Kennedi in the AA and Ruby on vault, bars, and floor. This class is more than capable.

Bryant and Dunne are first class recruits who can replace those scores themselves. Elena should be able to actually give us some great bars and vaults as well. Couldn't really ask for a better class, they address every event with top flight gymnastics.
Our walk on Chase Brock will likely make a vault lineup at some point with her 1 1/2. If Sierra ends up at LSU that gives us much more depth on beam and floor. Ballard has recently been on visits to Arkansas and Georgia.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Sierra picked UGA. That’s where her mother went to college. I know she’s visited LSU a lot over the years and seems to enjoy being around the other recruits. I still hope she picks LSU but I know UGA is high on her list.

Intersquad was great today. Ruby and Kennedy looked really good Ruby looks and midseason form already. Sarah Edwards looking good on vault and floor. Kiya Johnson is gonna be a superstar. Sami looking good also. This team will definitely have what ot takes to get back to the finals

No doubt, it’s just matter of staying healthy. We really need Kai to be healthy as possible to help Kiya carry some of the load. Some of the girls have been limited training wise with some nagging stuff.

So all 2020 commits on their OV, but no Emma?
