I don't recall Dean signing a NLI.... she has been injured for a while before coming to LSU and none of the staff was sure she would be able to compete a whole lot due to her back issues. Only Standley, Desiderio, Cambell signed before coming to LSU.
Edwards has been a walk on so far. Durante should be on scholarship by now.

I remember Edwards signing a NLI via her Instagram but I could be wrong. But you’re right about Dean. I don’t recall her signing one.

Not all papers that kids sign on signing day are NLI's. Ex: Goodrich, who we know is not on scholarship. A lot are stuff for financial aid and such. While athletes are walk on's, if they accept any type of money for sports, their financial aids can be reduced or completely canceled. The stuff they sign makes them aware of all of that and any of the violations can nullify it all. They may not be on full scholarship from the school but the athletes are still held to the same standard.

What do you all think of the way USAG selected the Junior Worlds Team?
IMO, I don’t think you should base results off of one day of competition. There should be at least two days of results. Just taking the top 3 AA scores with no consideration to who has the most potential (which they did with selecting Eaker for last year’s worlds team) is kinda unfair. Konnor McClain clearly had an off day, and to penalize her for one bad day is unfair (especially since she is the reigning junior national champ on beam and is on the national team). I think maybe you take the top two AA winners and take the third based on potential. Either Konnor or Alipio could have gone for beam.
With that being said, I do like the team, especially Skye Blakely! I’ve been singing her praises for almost 3 years now. I’ve even written in prior posts that I hope LSU is recruiting her (although Sloane is going to Florida and they may have the upper hand). I love watching her on beam and floor, and she has so much power on her vault. Her bars aren’t bad either because of her lines.

I’m surprised it came out so early. It usually doesn’t come out until mid to late August. Guess we get to plan really early on which meets we’ll attend.

Don’t know if this has already been posted somewhere else, but I read the sad news that Sarah’s dad Don Finnegan has been diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer. He is undergoing alternative treatments at the present time. You can read more about his journey on Caringbridge.com

I feel terrible for the family-really poor prognosis for that type of cancer. The family is asking for prayers and financial donations to help cover Don’s treatments.

She had a minor clean up procedure. Was scheduled after her senior trip for what shoukd have been her normal graduation. (Nothing that wasn't planned)

Yeah I saw Selena’s Instagram where she was practicing a double layout at the LSU camp. I was also excited to see that Tori and Livvy were also in attendance. Big things on the horizon for LSU.

I was just taking a look at the College Gym News website, and they have Alyona slated for the 2021 class. Has she confirmed anything yet? Just seems weird that the info is out there and there’s been no official announcement.

You can scroll through different teams as the very bottom of the spreadsheet. You have to arrow over and the college names should change. They’re in alphabetical order.

That website tends to be inaccurate at times but one of the few to keep an updated master verbal list w/ commitment updates.
Aleah Finnegan will be one to watch this summer with the upgrades and possible international assignment. Lilly is still coming back from injury last year but she is extremely young, just building on her difficulty.
