it's because the tweet copy doesn't translate.

??? could be a tiger emoticon or smiley or something.

The DT recruiting obsession for this year is a little overblown. We have 1 senior, 1 junior, and 4 sophomores back next year, and Valentine and LMFAO will be Freshmen after redshirting. With the 2016 class being so strong, it makes more sense to concentrate on LB and DE right now. Especially since we are also pretty light there in this class.

It would be nice to snag one impact guy if we can, but time is short and we should have a very solid 6 or 7 man group at DT next year as it stands.

I think they're working a lot harder on Zack Robertson and Chidi Valentine-Okeke.

@Sheadixon: No stopping for #LSU coach Ed Orgeron. Now, he's recruiting at one of the hottest programs in America @joshnewberg247 LINK

Coach O has been recruiting 2016 prospects at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. He is currently meeting with coaches and players to get a foot in the door. He is meeting with Shavar Manuel a five star defensive end and number 2 player in the country.

Completely agree. We don't lack talent at DT, just experience.

Quality DEs, that's what we need.

Coach O and LSU are doing a great job of branding him as "the" recruiter you want after you to prove you are a top level talent. His I am only looking for the top talent to come to LSU is brilliant, can't wait to see him close on some of the top prospects this year and especially next year.

247 has us as the leader for Smith now. Not that it means anything but getting the #1 CB two years in a row would be fun

Don't buy it. FSU has been his leader for a while and still are. IMG is loaded but their coach is Chris Weinke so FSU has a huge in there. Bonus is that a lot of those kids aren't from FL so it just helps others get closer to the kids.

Smith is very good but we are fine at CB in 16 with Broussard, Fulton, Williams, Mullen and Clay. Chase him but lock down the ones we've been on at the same time

No, but if I had to guess, it is an Ole Miss v UF battle.

I think Freeze had an in-home with him last night.

"FSU is still in there, too, but Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Florida and LSU are primarily my top schools right now,” Jefferson said.

"I actually had an in-home visit with coach [Les] Miles and coach O [Orgeron] on Monday night. We sat out on the front yard and talked. We had a great time. They told me how they'll use me and what I'd be getting by going to LSU. I've been there before on my official visit and coach Miles just reiterates the same things every time he talks to me so there has to be some truth behind it.”
