Team BCF selects TE Griffin Gilbert.
Gilbert's Scout Evaluation:
Griffin was born to be a flexed out tight end. He can make a living with the intermediate routes, but the deep out and the dig routes are were where he is most impressive. The times the ball is thrown deep, he makes the over-the-shoulder grabs with relative ease. With his 6-foot-5 height, it makes it difficult for any defender to defend him when the ball is thrown high. Great route runner with soft hands and a knack for big plays. - Greg Powers

Thoughts: Watching his video and I knew I had to have him. A TE that is on video catching the ball 30 yards downfield time after time is a game changer for any offense. I was originally going to take 4 wr, but I am a big fan of Standford's and the Patriots use of the tight end. Having Gilbert will allow Addison to be used in the slot and a double tight end set helps my running game, featuring D.J. Foster.

Not sure what Neal's issues are. He's got to have his academics in order to get into Notre Dame. I don't think all this drama bodes well for his future IMO.

The Irish are really rolling the dice with a couple of drama filled talents...

I am going to make kind of a wild card pick here. I am going to select JUSTIN THOMAS Georgia Tech.
Thomas is listed as an athlete on most sites. He was a dual threat QB in high school but most people consider him too small to play QB at the next level. Thomas was a Bama commit for a long time until Georgia Tech offered him..as a Quarter Back. At 5'11, he is plenty big enough to be a QB in Paul Johnson's triple option system.
Thomas is one of the most exciting offensive prospects Tech has got in years. Thomas has incredible speed and cuts as quickly as anybody in this class. His highlight tape reminds me a lot of Russell Shepard's except Thomas is built much better for the next level. He may not be heave but he is thick like a RB.
If he does end up playing QB for Georgia Tech, he could be a STAR in that offense. If he does end up having to switch positions, he could still be a big time playmaker with how fast and elusive he is.

He's never on, and often shows up randomly and makes his pick, so I just preemptively bump him and he can make his pick whenever he shows up.

I love seeing Neal struggle because it bodes well for my boy Russell

Really like that kid. Nice size, catches the ball really well. I think he plays early and often for Fedora. He was one of my favorite players left, but I knew I wasn't going to be able to take him until much later and that he'd definitely be gone.

Tom Strobel DE Michigan. I like how that Michigan D is playing, especially the line.
And thanks Dan for keeping me up to date!

Honestly, I'm picking blind and drunk here, but I'm going to go with Donavin Newsom. His tape isn't breathtaking, but I feel like he has a lot of potential and he has a great chance to make waves in a relatively weak SEC East next year.

Yeah, I felt the same with him. I kept watching the tape and saying, "Man, I really WANT to love this kid, but I just don't." I dunno what it was. I was considering taking him anyhow. Especially with the way Mizzou is churning out LB prospects lately.
