Sorry guys. I just realized my pick was taken in the 9th round. Give me a minute...
Posted on 2/27/12 at 11:00 am to Hand
Reggie Daniels, S, Oregon
I've decided to play a 4-2-5. With Daniels, they say that what separates an average DB from a good DB is ball skills. Daniels has plenty of that. We'll see where he ends up because he needs to add weight and muscle for safety, but I don't know if he can play man coverage as a cornerback.

This was the guy I was going to take.
Would Moore have been taken before it got back around to me? If not, I made a mistake. If so, I'm happy with the choice I made.

Still kinda putting together my combined team depth chart from all 3 drafts. You drafted DB's very well, and I KILLED with my RB's.
HB- 1. John White Utah
2. Spencer Ware LSU
3. Juwan Thompson Duke
4. Harvey Langi Utah
5. Dante Butler Tulane
The first 3 are all starters and Langi and Butler should start one day. Feel pretty confident in my targets for the later rounds this year as well!

I was thinking about taking him too. I just figure that the west coast guys will get overlooked and I can get a good value on them. I thought he was going to last until my next set of picks.

I feel great about my DBs. Of the 11 guys still on rosters (still holding out hope for Demar Dorsey too), I think 11 will be starters.
Demetrius Wright is the one who won't, but he does play part time already.

Yeah Reggie was next on my big board but i have some others than I am just as excited about.
If we can ever get to my pick. I am ready.
I am starting to think that I take thsi more serious that some of the guys on here.

dont know bro. I have been researching like crazy. I feel good about every pick i make. I love this game.

Same here. Still a lot of exciting players left out there. My next pick could end up being one of my most exciting, interesting, and productive players....or he could do NOTHING in college. God I love this recruit draft shite.

Yeah thats the fun now. We knew who the cant miss prospects were. But now i am looking at kids who are projects. I am looking at offer list. reading articles. doing my on video eval. Taking into consideration of conference team depth everything.
Thsi is what makes this game so fun.
ETA: I get more excited about these kids becuase of the unknown factor. I can watch theere careers and hope i get a Honey Badger or a Morris Claiborne.

Yeah, this is usually where the draft gets more fun. Lists are more or less depleted and people start pulling out guys from all over the place (though Verlander has been doing that since round 3).
Not dissing him. He's just been, by far, the biggest freelance picker.

Unlike you Dan I can't get excited about the o line prospects at all. It's just not a sexy position to watch for unless you literally watch the games that they play in. I mean the stat she nor team highlights show you anything about this.

The gf's doctor visit was postponed so I am back and ready for my pick. As I look over things I see some fricker snagged my safety/OLB.

Who was that player BCF?

I think the highlights show a lot about OL. But it is the toughest position to evaluate.
Posted on 2/27/12 at 1:02 pm to Tiger Phanatick
Ill take Jeremi Powell OLB Florida

yeah but you trademarked this 3 years ago when we started. Your first oline class was great.
Just curious how are they performing now?
I still remember some of the secrets you gave me when searching for a o lineman.

Daniels. I was putting him at OLB. Scout makes it sound like he is a good candidate to end up there and I want speed. With my dline I feel he could have played there for me. Oh well, back to the drawing board. All I know is that I spent hours teasing Dan about taking Moore if he didnt leave Daniels for me. Haha I think he called me fricker and son of a bitch in one 15 minute span.

Ha, that's a stretch. 2 of them aren't even in football anymore.
I mostly look for players that certain schools/coaches offers (I do this for every position). Then I'll go through and watch their tapes.
I think jembeurt has had a lot more success than me in terms of his OL actually producing. I think I'm at 3 or 4 guys starting from 10 picks.
