With the 6th pick of the 8th round of the 2012 TDRBMD ItsThatDude selects JaQuay Williams, WR, Auburn.
quote:
Williams is a tall, very athletic and acrobatic pass catcher that excels in the redzone and in contested match-ups. He seems to thrive on making plays when he is covered. He is lanky and displays excellent overall body control and awareness of his surroundings.

Big Boy selects Mike Matthews, OC.

Team Dro selects Demetrious Cox, S Michigan St.
Ht: 6-1
Wt: 192
40: 4.42
Cox is not a player who is going to light up stopwatches, but he is very instinctive and he closes quickly. You will always see him around the ball and he gets there in a hurry. He is a very sure tackler in the open field and his ability as an offensive player adds to his talents on defense. He sees the whole field and makes plays sideline-to-sideline. He is also very good in coverage.

My fault guys, the search function lied to me

I edited my earlier post. I check the search on the speadsheet 3 times on this one

For some reason I thought that guy was gone, but he's not on the sheet.
Phan takes Jarron Jones, OT.

Joey O'Connor, OT/OG Ohio State. I love this guy. He's only highly ranked on Rivals, but I think he's a sure thing for the Buckeyes. I see him getting playing time early.

jembeurt selects Chris Wormley DE, Michigan
This athlete certainly looks the part. At 6'5" 250lbs, his length and athleticism reminds me of Aaron Lynch from Notre Dame last year. The only difference is he has a little less explosion, and is more of a run stuffer. I do find that he has better strength than Lynch though. He could play at DE, or gain a couple of pounds and play at DT.
He also has a pretty good relationship with Michigan defensive coordinator Greg Mattison. They watched the AFC Championship together, which Mattison used to coach in Baltimore before taking the Michigan D-Co job last year.
Hopefully the coaches can teach him that consistency and he can realize his potential.

He has a great size and speed combo," Scout Midwest recruiting expert Allen Trieu said. "He runs track at 6-foot-5, 260 pounds, which is unusual, to say the least. Very physically talented. "I think the biggest thing with him will be, is he an inside or an outside guy? I think he ends up as a combo guy, a la Ryan Van Bergen (who just graduated). I think he just needs to be consistent, but he has elite tools."
Hopefully the coaches can teach him that consistency and he can realize his potential.

That was who I guessed Verlander was looking for.

No it is someone else but some of luster has been lost since I did some last minute searching on Scout/Youtube and found a lower rated guy that I like a lot.

I am imagining that this wait is killing Verlander.
I say we bump Hairy Larry. He is better than this. This ain't his first ro-day-o.

Don't bump him.
Also since a found another much lower rated guy at the same position who I feel pretty good about I feel like I am in a win/win situation, either I get the guy I really want or I can begin to get on my lower rated guys a round early and take the replacement in a much later round.
My first "lower rated" guy is probable my 2nd favorite player in this class after Mauk.

I liked him a lot. He seemed kind of slow and I was worried about Auburn's offense with Gus gone. I also read one place where he might develop into a tight end. Good pick this late though.
