I RA'd. I'm tired of this guy's crap. We are getting to 7 pages and you've proven absolutely nothing

Why, because I give a fair counter perspective?

You keep citing the same COUPLE recruits that LSU missed out on from LA, but come up with excuses and reasons to downgrade an entire list of marquee names from OOS.

You're an imbecile, and everyone else in this thread can see it.

5* Spencer Ware (Ohio St)
5* Craig Loston (Texas)
5* Russell Shepard (Texas)
4* Kadron Boone (Florida and Georgia)
4* Evan Washington (Oklahoma)
4* David Jenkins (Texas)
4* Copeland
4* Ego Ferguson
4* Jakhari Gore
4* Justin Maclin
4* Michael Brockers
4* Drayton Calhoun
4* Akiem Hicks
4* Stavion Lowe
4* Kevin Minter
4* Sam Montgomery

All OOS kids from 2009 or more recent. I'd include guys like Gibson and Williford but he was only a 3*, good snag by Miles though.. especially on Williford.

My original point is that Miles and staff have not been as effective as other top SEC schools at going out of state and luring marquee players

And you never proved that point, all you did was denigrate guys that we took and talk up guys that left Louisiana.

The only coach in the SEC that consistently recruited nationally since Miles has been at LSU is Urban Meyer. All the other coaches have stuck with their traditional recruiting areas while going after just a few kids outside of those areas.

shite if anything, LSU has branched out more than anyone relative to the past. North Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, those are not our traditional recruiting spots, but we've had success there.

Exactly

It's sickening the amount of talent we've gotten OOS the last 5 years.

which is why i asked if trolling the recruiting board was a bannable offense..

it should be obvious, and i think it is, except for machi

neither have you. Chatboards are for debating. I'm doing nothing more than that. I think my points are valid and contain fact

I would think Chicken would love to get as many pages as possible from a thread of solid debating, why would he be upset by it?

Avery Johnson - I hope we can sign him

I find it ironic that you stick a fork in Greg Robinson and act as if he's signed with Auburn already.. yet you do not give Miles an ounce of credit for Avery Johnson. Tells me all I need to know fwiw.

What is your definition of a marquee prospect? We'll start there, and eventually you'll be pinned down.

You realize that some of the guys that you claim weren't marquee were Top 100 players out of high school? You aren't stating facts, you are using your opinion of players as a basis for your argument and it proves nothing except that you have a flawed view of history.

Holy frick

You are the dumbest person to have ever wandered over to this board.

You aren't debating anything. Debating means both sides are proving good points. It's hard to make good points when you spewed out crap from the start. EVERYONE has sided on the side I'm on and you aren't getting anywhere

I addressed the others. And again, I'm not flaming on any of these kids. I hope they are great and some have shown their worth already.

My point was battling in-state powers for kids on top of their boards... if Bama and Auburn can come into Louisiana and battle Les and Co. for our top kids then I expect us to do the same for a few, that's all

And we have -- yet you refuse to recognize that fact. You dismissed Terrance Tolliver as a legacy and said that he was 'passed up' when he was top-15 overall in the nation and a 5*

Your definition of marquee changes from school to school.. or at least when it suits your argument. So cmon, define it for us.

5 star on Scout
All SEC player
From MICHIGAN

But he's not a marquee recruit

It's obvious that being rated in the top 75 players in the country doesn't mean you are marquee, otherwise Sidell Corley, Joseph Barksdale and Ryan Baker would have been marquee players according to him.
