Watching the two games this weekend kind of brought out in the open (a little) what is mostly a behnd the scense process.
I gotta say, it brought home how hard this recuiting thing is. I know there was a book comparing it to a meat market. But it seems more like something from Discovery or the Animal Channel. Like where the big cats or other predators have to make like 10 hunts for every success.
I'd like to know who many kids have been identified, evaluated, contacted, mailed, called, texted, hosted, etc. for the final 25 or so each team signs. It's gotta be a humungous process.

gotta be fun to, would you not take a job where you market LSU to a top prospect, take them out to dinner, show them around BR, get to meet the parents, talk to their HS coach, and its all paid for! I would take that job in a heartbeat, but I agree it is alot of work........

problem with that if you spend money on kids and they dont come sooner or later your out of a job

Yeah. I bet is is fun too. Still, it's gotta be nervewracking putting all that effort in and knowing you'll only get a percentage of those you want. Not to mention that you got to figure out how to keep the backup contingency recruits from bailing if they feel they're not the first choice.

agree thats the hard part, a second tier player who has a good shot at being good in college wants to committ but you are still waiting for the 5 star to choose, how do you keep them interested and on board? That must be difficult!
