Cornerback is going to look like oline here real soon unless they can move Sage Ryan to CB which might be a possibility. He seems versatile enough. But either way, we need at least 1 CB in this class.

I think they want sage as a cb/nickel. McGhee should commit. Maybe they make 1 more big run at nabors who could be a wr or cb.

Liam is giving it everything he’s got but he’s getting dominated.
I’m hoping a real off-season in a P5 S&C program will have a big impact on him next year. His issue is lack of size and strength and those can be improved, at least marginally.

Yeah i think he has been getting better the entire year
I think he stays and helps himself

If we are sitting at <60 scholarship players right now, what is the biggest number we could have for next season?

Better get Thomas if we happen to lose Earle

We should have around 48-50 returning players going into spring.
Add 25 signees (doesn’t matter if their from HS, JUCO, transfer portal or grad transfer).
I’m thinking no more than 75 going into next season but.... there’s always a couple that transfer after spring and in recent years we’ve seen some transfer during fall camp once they realize where they are on the depth chart.
One of the most critical jobs right now for Coach O and the staff is re-recruiting / retaining as many current players as possible.
We’re looking at 2 recruiting classes to get us back to 80+.

Insane and that assumes no fall out too.
Great time for walk ons at LSU.

but Texas and Florida are hot on his trail.
So you think he's out because he's being recruited by other teams?

Yep.
Just a few years ago we’d sign a class of 25ish and we’d be over the 85. We expected a number of guys to transfer out in order to make room.
But now with the hard 25 limit it’s harder to rebuild the numbers.
It’ll take us 2 classes to build the numbers back.
I figure we’ll sign 22 HIgh School prospects total. Probably 16 or 17 on Wednesday.
We’ll save about 2 spots for JUCO/ Transfer players that can help us in the trenches.
We’re hurting at DT as bad as anywhere.

free 247 article LINK / The Tigers have 19 listed commitments on 247Sports, but a trio of those players are not expected to sign this week but instead wait until February. The group includes two receivers in Louisiana's Chris Hilton and the Lone Star State's JoJo Earle, as well as California linebacker Raesjon Davis.
"It’s very fluid right now," Orgeron said. "Minimum 15-16 and maximum of 20. In between that would be a good range."
