Just talked to Drew's dad at the airport, told me that his son wants to "get down to Death Valley soon" and that Gary will "probably go to LSU."

Teams would kill to land a guy like Edwin Alexander and he might be the 4th highest ranked DL recruit this year if we pull Gary, Manuel and Lawrence

You almost wonder if it's so much talent some won't want to come bc of playing time. That would be the sickest class depth and talent wise by their junior years

I'm sure guys like Lawrence, Gary and Manuel have enough confidence to think they will be able to come in a get significant playing time day 1. They are elite talents and they know it.

They should also observe/know that O will rotate DL to keep them fresh. Just like our RBs, they can excel on a great team and be noticed by scouts and still be top picks in the draft.

I know other schools will give them that used car salesman pitch, but with guys like Gary and Manuel (once he drops the weight from his injury), you can flex them around on the d-line due to their size and athleticism

Gary can play DE in a 4-3. He's that good

He saw my LSU shirt and we got to talking. What I liked the most was he didn't immediately start bragging and throwing out that his son was a blue chip recruit or beg for attention. Simply stated that his boy loves football and wants a good education and will have his support wherever he goes.
