Man there are so many Rueben Randle threads. You guys have him as a backup plan right?

I'm going to have to believe that all of this "Randle wouldn't see the field" is an attempt to try to convince themselves that they won't be disappointed if he goes to school elsewhere.

I personally think that Tiger fans are going to be happy come signing day, and we'll have to revisit this discussion if/when Randle signs with LSU. My guess would be that the tune will change dramatically.

why is benton a guaranteed starter? He hasnt played a snap of D1 football. How did he do at his prep school or wherever it is he's been trying to become eligible?

Exactly.

Bottom line: Randle is to offense what PP is to defense.

Good enough and should play right away... only difference is that WR is a lot easier to learn and play right now.

Randle is the #2 if he comes here. Other than LaFell we have no real experienced starters and RR is better than anyone we have.

The Mitchell's aren't all star talent IMO, solid, yes

Solid?

Not gonna happen. RR comes to LSU, he'll be the #3 on opening day and displace TT by week 3.

He won't start over Lafell or Toliver

so that makes him at best #3... and I think he would be on the field a lot when we went to 3-and-4 wide sets

I also believe Deangelo Peterson has tremendous upside if he can prove to run well in the SEC, so I won't put RR over him just yet since DP will have a year in the system and a year of developing physically

He'll start over Toliver. Especially if Toliver doesn't get his shite together this off season.

keep dreaming

TT is 2 years into Crowton's system and is our big target on the field... he was under-utilized this year

I love how rantards forget that he was a 5-star and they think some hyped high schooler can just waltz in and take the job of a talent like Toliver, who has way more development and experience in the system and in his own right is a tremendous talent

Toliver > Randle

H-Town Tiger is one of the biggest goons on the rant. Pay him no mind.

If he's a Tiger, he will play plenty, similar to Julio Jones & DeAndre Brown this year. Too talented to be on the bench. Really hope he wears the purple & gold! Geaux Tigers!! :jump1: :jump2:

thats stupid comment. if you are a real stud, like rr is expected to be, he would play right away. see for example, d. bowe and doucet. they didnt waste anytime

agree, but people don't realize that schools like Alabama, Southern Miss, Oklahoma State, etc. don't have shite for WRs (or offensive playmakers period) to the degree that LSU has

Toliver is in the same class as far as ability as guys like Dez Bryant, Deandre Brown, A J Green, etc... he just wasn't rushed into playing time at LSU because we frankly didn't need him until this year and then we didn't have a QB who could get the ball to him
