And what happens when your target has something happen that causes him not to sign? (Car wreck/crazy girlfriend/family illness...the shite happens). You shut out your best plan b because your mad at a 17 year old's initial decision?? God I hope you don't become our lead recruiter any time soon. (Though you probably couldn't do much worse up here in NELA)

I'm not even following, but its nothing to do with pride. Its pretty simple.
Priority #1 says DIAF
You tell priority #2 he is your guy, and your only guy. You don't wait for that guy to commit, then go back and say, "Now we are also going to take #1" You gave your word to a kid, and you keep it.

Agree to disagree. More tactful ways to handle the situation and leave the door open I suppose. Or you could choose the Saban method, sign em all, and begin processing I suppose. Even if you have no room...propose gray shirting or something. Don't just go silent. I understand your sentiment...more so when a prospect has indicated that his coming was contingent on no other player at his position being recruited. (See Robert Lane). Not sure this is the same situation. But he'll...we'll see how it plays out. We can certainly agree that tomorrow will be a big day for the future of our program.

You are out of your mind, dude. That or you recently started following the hootie recruitment. Hootie chose bama and we told a higher rated player that he was our guy now... How about make room for both? I don't get this?? We make room for anyone else, this guy can play ball and could even grow into a LB? A very good backer........ He's a kid that got caught up in recruiting, you don't turn your back on him. Now if they suspect that he's wasting time that's totally diff, but from what I've see it's genuine confusion. So you make room!!! I like the kid, everyone is acting like LSUs turned their back on him and they should, which is total BS!!!!
