Just having your back. Love the info you bring to this board and don't want to see an issue with same. Getting "Press Credentials" from LSU may open up these kinds of opportunities for you. Getting deemed a "Booster" under NCAA rules would severely limit a person ability to interact with recruits and can cost LSU the opportunity to recruit said recruit(s) and could potentially also have adverse effects on a recruits eligibility. It's a very sticky wicket.

Huge shout out to our TE commit Tavyion Galloway for taking the time out of his busy summer schedule to answer a few questions from the board!!

What made you personally fall in love with LSU?

Just love everything about what LSU brings to the table overall as a program. Not everyone gets the chance to play here and that’s why I’m very fortunate.

Is it Brian Kelly’s history of TE usage, OR LSU as a program that made you commit to LSU and recruit for it so hard? (And thank you by the way for recruiting)

To be honest a little mixture for both. I want to play for national championships at the end of the day and want to help win SEC titles.

What makes you different/unique than the other young TEs LSU has on team/committed?

I think I’m more of an all around TE who can run routes at a high level and block at a high level.

What is the best formation/play that showcases what you can do better than any other player?

I honestly think anywhere I am put I am able to show I am better than anyone in the country.

Will you enroll early?

Yes

Looking for any verifiable testing numbers

Ht/wt/speed/hand size
6’5 230 4.58 and honestly forget my hand size now it’s been a long time since measuring them

Who are you most looking forward to playing against in the SEC?
Georgia and Bama

What current LSU player has been the most influential in your choosing the good guys?

To be honest no player really has had any pull as to me making my decision I was the first commit of the class and was committed before a lot of the 2023 guys.

Is he a Burrow fan since he’s got the Ohio connection?

Yea I’m a supporter forsure we are both from the 740 area code so gotta show my love to Joey B

What does he think of how Kelly/Denbrock utilize TEs?

They are top notch high level guys when we talk TEs and they utilize them as good if not better than anyone.

Would he rather catch a TD or lay someone out on a block?

I love both to be honest.

Who is his favorite NFL tight end?

If we are saying of all time I would say Tony Gonzalez Antonio Gates or Aaron Hernandez but if we are talking recently it has to be Rob Gronkowski or Travis Kelce

Thanks Crown & Galloway for taking the time to give us insight into one of the best all around TEs in this class!

Of all the things you could’ve asked this guy for, you asked for that. You are the definition of a wet blanket.

ETA: Kid's name was Drayton Calhoun.

Did you know that I was Drayton Calhoun’s #1 fan on this site?

I swore up and down he would be the best punk/kick returner LSU had ever seen. And that He would also be a great three down back if he gained fifteen or more LBs at lsu.

I was wrong but his tape was crazy how he would pick a hole and scream north/south on every play.

I think he commuted the year that we had Dexter Pratt commit also.

Lastly, crown, thank you for this thread.

Both those guys had crazy ability. Calhoun was so sudden yet smaller for that particular time and style of play. Pratt could've been as good as he wanted at RB or LB but instead chose to be a complete thug in every sterortypical/reality based way you can think of. For such a perceived "good" man Les was it hindered his ability to read bullshite. Pratt is one of many examples.

I really like this answer. This is a great quality in a leader - actually making a decision and not putting it off until later while also not worrying about what other people are doing.
