USC already has Max Browne this year and Kessler and Wittek from '11.
As far as UCLA, not sure with Mora just taking over. They've taken 2 QB's in the last two years.
I believe Leach was after this kid as well.

That's always a concern, but supposedly this kid has no problems leaving home, and most of the schools he has repeatedly talked about are OOS schools.
Plus, his brother left home for Boston College so it's something the family is very familiar with.

This. Max Browne is the top QB in the nation, and USC usually offers one QB at a time. UCLA needs to get back to prominence before anyone should fear them. Also, Brett Hundley should be a great one for them.
NVM about Gino, says he is referring to someone else. Either way, a huge commitment out of left field that NO ONE on this board even thought about.

krag has done a great job recruiting qbs. I wonder if this helps us marginally with goodman and willis (west coast guys). also, wonder if we still want two qbs in this class.

Getting a solid QB was a huge need in this class. That, a big WR, and some studs on the Dline. We got 2 out of 3 now lets go get some ammunition for the trenches!

Southern Cal seems to have no problem with OFS recruits across the country. The kid seems to have good potential. Going 13-0 probably helped. Afterall, the QB position will be open after these next two seasons. He can redshirt, learn the system and come out as a RS Frosh

Also, Rettig and his HS coach are scheduled to be on ESPN 104.5 FM in Baton Rouge today around 11:30 today with Hanagriff, Ott, and Ponamsky.
