With the class almost filled, I just reviewed our current commits..
LINK
With the big time players we still have on the board.. I am extremely interested in who the coaching staff tells to looks around. This class is stacked, and some incredibly tough decisions will need to be made.
The obvious is likely Ali Gaye, JUCO commit. Although I have read the coaches are really high on him. Do we decide to go with one QB? Is Clowney still giving us the silent treatment? With Arik Gilbert committed, is Kole Taylor, who I really like, going to be told to look around?
This is a GREAT problem to have. The amount of high caliber players showing extreme interest in this class is awesome. I will trust the coaching staff in doing whats best to fill needs. i just wanted to start a thread and have a conversation on what may play out.
This is not a thread to bad mouth recruits. I love this class, and if it ended today with Dumerville and Guillory, I would be happy. All of these kids are good enough to play in the P&G. Tough couple months coming up.

If Boutee flips to Bama I would keep the 6'7" TE unless some crazy good WR wants in. WR's are a dime a dozen. You dont see TE's that big that can spread out wide and run routes with a 5'11' CB. He also is young and good feet he could grow into a OT.

Even with Gilbert committed, I hope Kole Taylor can stay. He will be a threat in the redzone. Something you cant teach is size. He is athletic as well. Huge threat.

I‘d like the offensive and defensive line to be our #1 priority every year, including this one. Without these guys, the skilled players aren’t going to be maximized anyway.

Demond Demas has been rumored to be interested in the good guys

Agree and wouldn't make a move either way until we see how things play out with Boutte and Jarrett. One bonus of the early period. Kids and schools have to sit or get off the pot.

Weigh your options & make your choice! Tigers or Tiger Bait?

Position? Profile link?
Are you suggesting ANOTHER recruit in the 2020 class may be in serious question?

I don’t ever recall that name and I’m refreshing this board daily for the last few years. When was he a commit?
ETA: and I don’t see any visits to LSU, much less a commit/decommit in his 247 Timeline

I'm with you. Someone said this in another thread and I have absolutely zero recollection of Demas being committed to LSU. Maybe I'm just getting old.

The WR’s that were previously committed were:
-K. Abrams-Draine & Darin Turner
and I suppose you could say Naverette could have ended up as WR as well

You have to be careful processing committed players. Not only are you turning away an athlete from the program but you are also leaving a bad impression with their family and more importantly their coaches.

Correct.. I would imagine every kid from Louisianan is safe. Coach O knows how important it is not to burns bridges in the state.
