Both of them said he is HUGE and has an extremely good motor. Also said he makes a lot of hustle plays and is extremely raw. He's 100% going to blow up this offseason

if you watched the highlights, you could easily see all that. Guy is tracking kids 25 and 30 yards downfield. I saw Hunter do that shite several times this year and I remember Mingo doing it.

We need to stay on him. He has HUGE potential and has only played one year of football.

If he's as good as the posters on this thread seem to think, let's hope the 0 stars keep 'Bama away from him, LOL!

He's undoubetdly an impressive athlete, but to give a little backstory...He plays in the AISA. In alabama the AISA is the independent private school league. There are 3 classifications. He plays in 3A, but these are all K-12 schools with the largest schools having a 400-500 enrollment. It ain't the NOLA catholic league by any means. The average lineman in the AISA is 200-215 pounds. The enrollment in the AISA is 90-95% white.

To put it bluntly he is playing against no talent scrubs. His film is going to be hard to judge until he gets into some camps and faces some legitimate competition. OJ Howard at Alabama also played AISA ball, but I can't recall another big time D1 recruit to come out of the division in football, it's just poor competition that's gotten worse over the years. Wherever he ends up he will have a major adjustment to make

The independent schools shouldn't be confused with a traditional private school. These teams only compete against each other.

I had no idea OJ Howard went to a small division school. Well you never know he can still be good, Take a look at Nick Chubb he is from one of the smallest divisions in GA. IBut I'm sure this guy wherever he goes will take a redshirt so he can learn and understand the game better as well as to get adjusted to the speed and size difference. And of course adding some bulk to his huge frame already

I edited this post to remove my reply to RiseUp regarding the AISA. This thread is about Tega not the AISA.

As far as Prince Tega Junior goes...he is very talented...a natural football player. He should be offered a ton of Division 1A scholarships in football... because he is 6'8 245lbs and runs a 4.6 forty and loves contact!

Well it is an interesting story. He could be an All-American or decide college football is not for him.

He looks like he's gonna end up seriously hurting someone. That size and the things he can do on the football field in one year of even knowing of football is scary.

I grew up in the AISA. Attended two different AISA schools and played ball in the AISA. My brother played ball in the AISA, won 3 state titles in 3A and didn't play with anyone that got a football scholarship. My cousin played ball in the AISA. I went to an AISA school for free because I was a great football player by their standards, then I moved to a public school in Florida that is far from a football powerhouse and found out that I was indeed not a great football player in the grand scheme of things. There is minimal talent in the league. Howard, Drew Davis, Tega, and the little scat back from Bessemer a few years ago are the only SEC level talents in the last decade. You're grossly exaggerating the talent in the AISA. Yea some kids make a roster as walk ons, but very very few kids from the AISA go on to be contributors at the division 1 level, much less stars.

There isn't a team in the AISA right now, Edgewood included, that would compete in the catholic league. You're talking about a league that sends multiple kids every year to high level programs on a scholarship. Sometimes multiple kids on one team. Please don't pretend like the league is even close to the catholic league. I was an adamant defender of the AISA for the longest time, but then I started playing public school ball. It's a little different when you're playing with and against black kids every Friday, to be blunt.

There are probably 150ish catholic league kids on div1 rosters. Some of the schools have double digit signees annually

At least a dozen nfl players I would assume
