Just for fun because I'm bored. Thoughts, changes, etc are more than welcome.
QB
Grant Gunnell TX
RB
Noah Cain FL/TX
Tyrion Davis LA
Mike Hollins LA
WR
Jalen Curry TX
Trey Palmer LA
TE/F-Back
Christian Harris LA
OT
Kenyon Green TX
Ray Parker LA
Javonne Shepard TX
OG
Thomas Perry LA
Kardell Thomas LA
DE
Jaran Handy MS
Byron Young MS
DT
Ishmael Sophser LA
Joseph Evans LA
ILB
Zach Edwards MS
Donte Starks LA
OLB
Marcel Brooks TX
Desmond Little AL
CB
Derek Stingley LA
Devin Bush LA
Marquez Beason TX
Maurice Hampton TN
S
Jamal Morris TX
K
Will Reichard AL
LS
Quentin Skinner GA
27 kids and a class I'd be more than thrilled with. Surely there will be many that are different in the end but as of now this is pretty reasonable.
Some thoughts
Gunnell is the only QB. Part staff, part Gunnell.
Think we land Cain or Emery, not both. Feel much better about Cain. Think Hollins is rewarded for his passion for LSU and he's an easy, sneaky 3rd back
Curry follows Gunnell. We miss in Lee. Don't think it will be Bama. Probably want 3 but that doesn't fit this scenario
TE is tough because I don't know where we stand with any if them. Maybe Parker stays the TE route but man would he be a stud OT.
Have Harris at F back because supposedly that's where we want him. Works for me if it gets him in.
OL class would be fantastic. I just think Green comes back. He's leaving hints. Parker could be a TE and I think we steal one of the TX tackles other than Green. Perry could play in or out and of course Thomas is the best of the bunch
Orgeron has a habit of overloading his DL depth but I'm going with intelligence in this mock and sticking with 4.
The two MS kids will be battles til the end but those 2 fit our scheme well. Almost put Pickering in but think Bama gets him.
We stay instate at DT
Great LB group if it city mes to fruition. Starks and Edwards stabilize the inside and Brooks, Little present big time athletic potential outside.
Going 4 deep at CB. Almost went 5 with Marcus Banks but think that is unnecessary at this point and difficult to pull off. Question whether we land Bush but for now. Have doubts Hampton signs with us in the end.
Only Morris at S though I could see 2 sneak in.
Just my early march thoughts.

Awesome, hope you are right!
Would love to see Lee sign with LSU, but i've read the recent articles that don't sound too favorable at this point.
Anybody know what happened with Charles Moore (DE from MS) on Saturday? A couple of crystal balls went in for LSU and seemed to be some speculation that he would also commit, but seems quiet since then. 247 profile doesn't even show he was at LSU and no pics that i've seen in LSU gear.

Good stuff.
I like it all. Really want Emery and Gunnel is of the utmost priority.

Also, would like to see Clark at LSU. It seems that Coach CR prefers taller CBs, but the young man has game.

I really want to have hope that Gunnell will be the QB in this class.

This would truly be an exceptional class.
Love Parker and his versatility.
I think he can be very good at te or ot either one.
I think that 4 corners is a must in this class. I would consider 5 if one is a combo db and drop the pure safety.
Regardless I think 5 dbs is a most in this class
A qb that can legitimately play in the SEC is a most.
I think we get 2 out of the 3 main rb recruits so I am not very concerned about rb.

He is currently committed to Mississippi State. I saw where one of the paysite guys was speculating that he was waiting to inform MSU of his decommit before committing to LSU.
Whether that is true or not remains to be seen. There did seem to be a lot of chatter that he was one of the commits from Saturday so hopefully it is TRUE.

Thank you, was hoping something along those lines. Very respectful think to do w notifying the other staff.

I don't see LSU signing that many. Would require too much attrition considering we only have 8 seniors.

Whats going on with Emory?

You need to add John Emery. He’s my fav out of all the backs.

Don't have a meltdown but it's been said Emory wants to be the only RB in the class of whatever school he chooses.

John Emery - let's respect the young man by spelling his name correctly.

Personally don’t see us landing him, and if we land Cain there is no chance
Posted on 3/5/18 at 12:08 pm to lsufanva
I think we have to take more than 1 QB

Agree but kids at other positions are higher on the board than whomever the 2nd qb would be. Just don't see who at the moment but the board will change.
Honestly forgot about Moore. If he's in then replace the AL kid at rush end.

Grinnell has been a real drama queen as of late and almost seems to go beyond the normal "impressionable and undecided" into the realm of unstable.
I think if LSU has a strong run in 2018, we might get Gunnell. If we have 2, 3, 4 losses entering November, the Coaching staff uncertainty will hurt is again on top recruits.
Just a gut feeling but I see GG ultimately ending up at Arky... hope I'm wrong.
