Actually is planning on visiting LSU against Oklahoma.

Good sign as of now. He is no where this weekend.

“ With one additional visit weekend remaining before the end of the regular season, Pickett’s father said the plan is to return to Baton Rouge for LSU’s matchup with Oklahoma next Saturday. The visit from On3’s No. 1 cornerback prospect and LSU commit would come just days before the Early Signing Period on December 4.”

That quote I copied above is the most important part of that article.

Please, please, let us hold onto everybody except maybe Meadows and land Stewart plus possibly Thomas.

Land Stewart and Thomas and the pain of Underwood will be eased.

Michigan jumping in the mix tells me underwood has his hands in this

Either trying to get Pickett onboard or Pickett reached out to Pickett for big money

Means nothing. He's already visited every school on his list. Only the remaining days of negotiations matter. I don't expect those to end in our favor if purely a $ issue. We refused to go above 1.5 for the #1 QB who has substantially more value than a 6'4 CB which history has shown very, very rarely end up panning out. There was an article this week detailing the history of such players. I'll see if I can relocate the article and will link it if I can find it.

Edit- it's from the rivals ranking by position writeup about defensive backs in which Rivals doesn't have Pickett listed. He's an athlete there even though he's a db. That's another discussion regarding intentional manipulation of rankings.

Here's the writeup

quote:

There is a larger discussion that we’re debating and working through when it comes to the top of our cornerback rankings. The reality is that we fall in love with these long, rangy corners on the high school level but they almost never become first-round NFL Draft picks.

There are only eight cornerbacks at 6-foot-3 or taller in the NFL. The average height for a corner is just about 6-foot. Only one 6-foot-3 corner was drafted at all in April and he was taken in the fifth round.

This is no knock on Devin Sanchez, Na’eem Offord or new five-star Dijon Lee Jr. but the concern is that their size at the highest level of the NFL is actually a detriment and not a bonus if they plan to stay at corner

Feel as tho we will crash and burn on this one. For some reason Georgia and Oregon scare me the most here. Him taking LSU out of his bio isn’t that big of a deal, but it usually points to “hey I’m probably not going here anymore” hope for the best but expecting the worst….

It doesn’t matter. He’ll tell you what’s going to happen after it happens

I've never felt good about him, if there was one of the main guys to flip, I would have put my money on him. We'll see though, maybe not.

It’s people like you who don’t actually know how much we offered for Underwood. post like you know what really happened. The number was a lot higher than 1.5

Nothing means nothing until ink. It’s always been that way but much more so now.
