That name keeps popping up again and again. We got us a good one boys...

LINK

Colin Hurley QB, Jacksonville (FL.) Trinity Christian Academy Class of 2024, LSU Commit

Playing with patience and doing a nice job of finding the open receiver in his progression, Hurley was in a nice groove throughout the weekend. Known for his ability to throw that deep ball and being a gunslinger you saw growth in how he attacked defenses. The signal-caller looks to be progressing with his poise and in the pocket by his play during the tournament leading the 24K team to the semi-finals.

Not sure if we can pluck one from Little Nicky, but this WR was named Alpha Dog and we are pursuing him. Anyone know our chances on him??

Alpha Dog: Cameron Coleman, Phenix City (AL.) Class of 2024

The Alabama native showed why he is a fast-rising prospect with his play throughout the weekend. The 6-foot-3 175 pass-catcher is a bouncy athlete with more than enough speed to stretch the field. He was able to beat press, off and coverage throughout the tournament as teams tried to find multiple ways to try and spot him let alone slow him down. He displayed the ability to get in and out of his breaks smoothly without having to decelerate and versatility lining up in the slot as well as out wide. Coleman was a terror on jump balls where it was more 90/10 with regards to his ability to constantly make the catch on any caliber of defensive back that guarded him. With the likes of Auburn, Texas A&M, LSU, Florida and Alabama all after him it was very easy to see why he is a coveted prospect.

Comments from Rivals:

THOUGHTS ON QUARTERBACKS

Ole Miss is getting a good one in Demond Williams. The four-star dual-threat quarterback from nearby Chandler (Ariz.) Basha is undersized and there’s no way around it but his arm strength is elite and he has excellent touch on his passes as well. Williams can throw off different arm angles, he can throw on the run and back across his body so in coach Lane Kiffin’s offense he could be fantastic.

LSU commit Colin Hurley has all the arm talent in the world and he can deliver it all over the field effortlessly. Sometimes, the Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian Academy four-star quarterback would be better served taking just a touch off some passes that sailed. Still, Hurley had an impressive showing as a fringe Rivals100 prospect who has reclassified.

Other quarterbacks who had good moments include Orange (Calif.) Lutheran’s TJ Lateef, NC State commit Cedrick Bailey Jr., Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County’s Antwann Hill, Draper (Utah) Corner Canyon’s Isaac Wilson and Las Vegas Bishop Gorman’s Micah Alejado, who is really undersized but skilled enough some school should take a shot on him.

He's certainly doing his part to prove hes elite. I've been hard on him(moreso the process of taking him so early) but he continues to impress me. Kudos to the kid.

Clicked on this thread thinking it was going to be a list of the best OT7’s in Phoenix. I’m a little disappointed. Good for Hurley though.

Best player in Bama in 2025 is Ryan Williams, WR Saraland. As sophomore in early track results, he has run a 10.6 and HJ 6’8” already. Mr. Football as a sophomore this year. 6’2” 175lbs. Saraland has 3 kids with Bama offers.

All 3 major sites has top performers lists for free. Open up your horizons and venture over to one or two of those if you dare.

From Dandy Don This AM:

In football recruiting news, it sure appears that LSU will be getting a good one in class of 2024 quarterback Collin Hurley. The Tiger commit was named one of the Top 7 performers at the recent Overtime 7-on-7 (OT7) event held this weekend in Phoenix, Arizona. And it’s not just his play that’s impressive. He’s also out there trying to get top players to join him at LSU, like WR Cameron Coleman of Phenix City, Alabama, who was named the tournament’s “Alpha Dog.” After Shea Dixon of On3.com tweeted out a link to a story he wrote about Hurley recruiting Coleman to join him at LSU, Hurley replied, “I appreciate the story, Mr. Dixon… Cam knows where I stand on him joining me at @LSUfootball & he knows I can, and will, get him the ball. It’s the SEC. It’s the top class in ‘24. It’s LSU.”

Just adding some notes. Didn't think it needed it's own thread.

These two things don’t seem to match up. It seems like they’re simply ranking him lower because he reclassified. 247 even has him as a 3*.

I could understand that if he hadn’t filled out yet, but kid is 6’0 213 pounds. I guess they’re waiting to see his senior tape.

The "knock" on him is his completion percentage from last year.

I'll bet he'll rise in the rankings as time passes...
