Hopefully. He's also about to drop in the recruiting rankings after his lackluster performance in the UA game.

I think we all know what we're getting with Ish, anyway, regardless of ranking. He's a project that lacks motivation and may not take to coaching the way a team needs him to. But, if he does, he'll be very, very good.

How far you think he'll drop, anyway? #3 or #4 DT?

The fact that we want him at SDE in our defense makes me think we'll be able to make good use of him. He's huge and athletic.

I really don't think Alabama is ever offering Rodney.

My guess would be staying in juco another year has as much to do with him not qualifying. Vol indicated he was taking classes, but that he wasn't supposed to be done until summer.

I have no clue. 247 (not composite) has already dropped him to 2, and that was before the all star game performance.

I've thought this was the case for the last year. I think the kid is close to his brother(when is family loyalty a negative) and he knows what schools he wants them to play at. I think he is basically holding all the coaches feet to the fire to see who he really has to choose from come signing day. When that day comes he will decide from the schools that have given them both an opportunity and I honestly kind of respect that about the kid. I'm thinking we get him bc Bama won't end up offering both. And truthfully they shouldn't for him. They are LA kids and that is exactly why you offer both here, because of local loyalty and taking care of our own. I don't think Bama either needs Ish bad enough to offer both or even if they did would reserve that treatment for a bama kid.

If the recruitment is down to two schools and one has indicated they are willing to pay your "price" while the other clearly isn't, then why are we still talking about this?

I'm sorry, but it's abundantly clear he really doesn't want to go to LSU. That's completely ok. It's his decision. However, I don't know if I really want a guy (no matter how good he COULD be) who (1) already has motivation questions and (2) doesn't really want to be at your school

Great post. If what he is saying is true, his decision should already be made. I’m not sure he realizes how much of a lack of respect he has for LSU can be inferred by his comments.

Or he is just trying to keep this interesting.

Bama is in a position of needing Ish but not having to have him. We have to have him.

I don't know, man...I see it as Bama not needing him that much and not having to have him...LSU I see as needing him for actual DL play purposes and having to have him for the same reason.

He doesn’t want to come here but he will if we’re the best school that offers both. Lee is waiting to see if Bama has room. It’s obvious & anyone who says otherwise is an idiot & their bama inferiority complex won’t allow them to admit it.

If we get em, great. Geaux Tigers. I hope they play well & go to the NFL. But we’re clearly not their first choice.
