If by dirty they mean we took the local boys brother and found him a job to keep said local boy then I say yes.

yeah it's shocking the top qb in the country doesn't want to play for a second tier organization that's 1500 miles away from home without his brother there...just shocking he'd want to potentially play under an OC who's got by far the best resume in dealing with quarterbacks and offenses.

such dirty dealings!!!!

LSU did not take Shea's brother and find him a job.

LSU did not hire Sean to keep Shea happy.

Why don't you go frick yourself.

Arizona message boards accusing LSU of dirty dealings in recruiting... It is funny lol

From a poster on their site - aka 'I know i guy who's uncle…:

quote:

I made acquaintance with guy I frequently worked with last summer whose uncle is (or was) an Associate AD at a school with a traditional prestigious football program. He said it is almost custom that for a recruit like, let's say like Adrian Peterson was, the bidding ceiling is $50k. I guess that is where risk/benefit really starts to weigh, I don't know. But, he told me a recruiting story about a specific recruit of that caliber that his uncle's school got a commitment from. He was told that $50K ended up being what it cost to get him, but that something that high was only for a player of that caliber.

Committing to Arizona? That makes absolutely no sense.

CR - You really don't know much about his recruitment, do you?

His brother was a grad assistant at Arizona last season and is supposedly a good recruiter and up and coming coach at some point in the future. His brother was hired this week not long after Shea got an offer. Timing is somewhat funny, but Cam had talked to Sean about a position at some point last season. Sean and Shea are both enamored with Cam Cameron so right now it really looks like the inevitable of Shea committing to LSU at some point...probably sooner than later.

On top of that, Shea coming to LSU means we potentially pull a handful of other top prospects that want to play with him.

So if I am clear, AZ is unhappy because we might get a commitment where one of the reasons he may choose us is his brother being an employee. While AZ was perfectly happy with his commitment to them where the ONLY reason was his brother being an employee.

Not even a little bit hypocritical

This is big boy football. If u can offer a brother a low end gig in order to get the #1 QB in the country....?
If he's a decent coach or recruiter thats a bonus. Tell me anyone wanting to win that isnt going to do this? Anyone?
And what a deal for the Patterson's as well. Win-win here.

that was my thinking when I read it. Are these people really that naive, or just hypocrites?
