Bama fan trying to argue that nick Saban doesn’t pay players. Gimme your best response that I can use to shame him.
“Trent B except he doesn’t and hasn’t. Trust me with as many millions of microscopes that there are on a program that’s regularly super successful (Louisville basketball) that if they were being taken care of with checks or cash it would be caught easily.”

If you're a big time program, you pay your star players or you don't get to sign with your school. As for myself, I think players should get paid because college football has nothing to do about college anymore and everything to do with making lots of money. The reality is many of these star players have no business being in college, other than to play football! Period! A large majority of college football star players struggle with reading and writing and are nowhere close to performing at a college level. If we're going to treat college football like the big-money business it is, you need to pay the employees - the players!

How much is a scholarship worth? Don't forget that if you are joe blow student paying that is probably after tax money. Whether the players choose to take advantage of that is up to them. They are well compensated.

In that fan’s defense Nick Saban isn’t paying a single player. The Alabama program and people surrounding it are paying players. LSU does the same as well as every other major college. Anyone that doesn’t think that is either naive, in denial, or is just plain dumb.

I heard stories 35 years ago or so, however, for the purists out there, I’m sure nobody gets paid anymore.
