Exactly. A top recruit waiting until signing day is more common than not, and it isn't because they haven't decided.

Miami is sitting third and this weekend didn’t change that.

I'm hard pressed to find reason Miami could make up that much ground, in that short of time, against BOTH Bama and LSU.

It's not even a worthy 'shiny object'.

He knows where he is going. If you don't like him waiting until signing day write to ESPN and other sport tv. Millions of dollars made when we all sit and watch their shows. They are the ones putting out bullshite so you are in doubt and on edge of your seat .

If PS2 comes to LSU it will be because we've been on him so long and Raymond has developed a great relationship with him. It won't be because he couldn't be a "superstar" at Bama. That kid will be a star wherever he goes.

Just playing devil's advocate here and a serious question: what's the difference between PS2 and Savion Smith?

While Savion was a top prospect ad still has potential, Surtain is next level. And he comes from a great family with real football pedigree with top coaching his entire life.

He’d start at every school in the country his freshman year honestly.

This happens every year and no matter who it is people have to post on here about their brothers cousins nephews insight. I had a local recruit tell me night before he was going to LSU etc and he signed with another school the next am. ( He was a bust so no huge deal)
We will know in about 7 hours

I'd say Minkah Fitzpatrick was more than a cog in their machine. That guy achieved superstar status.

If he became a “superstar,” which is a stretch, he only did so because of a lack of another leader on their defense. I don’t say this as a homer, but Minkah was good, not great. He was just the recognizable name on a defense that didn’t have anyone else who jumped off the page at you, so he was the guy bama’s PR talked up and that the game announcers talked up. His output, though, was not as memorable as his name.

Are you talking about the same guy that won the Thorpe and Bednarik awards this season?

If we lose him, then I would much rather it be to Miami

One of them is the best HS cornerback prospect in the country since Patrick Peterson.
