No chance to make it in LSU's class but would love to see him get a chance.
Next Russell Gage.

all due respect to OP and the young man mentioned, but we are far too late into the process with this number crunch to be worrying about under-the-radar projects.

The dude is outrunning angles, making people miss, making open field tackles against perennial state champion teams look easy. That guy doesn't get out hustled and the coach over there has nothing but praise for him. I watched him every game this year and the reason that most of his highlights are punt returns is because quarterbacks don't throw at him. One of the best high school players I've seen given his physical attributes.

Great athlete. Great young man. A little short, so colleges are too lazy to look deeper. If you're under six feet they rarely look. They'd rather go with size and numbers and back-fill the attrition. Too bad, because heart and effort can go a long way in some cases.

He was the MVP of the championship game even though he didn't get it.

The guy will be a player wherever he ends up.
I know LSU doesn't have room but Gage was a last minute signing day decision when room opened up for him. He was all over the field for LSU this year.

Mensah is an absolute playmaker...could absolutely play at LSU if we had the room in our class. Hopefully his recruitment picks up after his senior highlights are seen a bit...would love to see him end up in the SEC

Beat me to it. I say we take him based on name alone. Anyone with the name Mensah has to have a good head on their shoulders, right?

Tyrann Mathieu - You cannot see or tell what the kid was about because he was small in stature, but what an incredible player he was for LSU and continues to be for the Arizona Cardinals. That kid was all heart for his size, and made up for lack of size with incredible fight, drive, and skill and talent. It's hard to find players like that.

Maybe they can get him as a preferred walk-on.

DB / returner
A little undersized but makes plays.
Shocked CHS didn't use him more on offense this year especially since they had no RB

Go ahead and cite the examples of them taking a kid at the last minute because locals got a late hardon for him.
I’ll wait...

This is laughable, CHS always has a horse stable of RBs that Fertitta rotates...guys like LC Benjamin who is only a sophomore and already stands 6 foot 205lbs. He's been being recruited since 8th grade to SEC schools including LSU. He was injured part of last year and recently this year and missed out on the state championship game against JC. Like I said, Fertitta (CHS coach) rotates his RBs to keep them fresh and avoid injuries, which is a smart thing. But to say CHS has no RBs is absurd, they just reload every year.
