With Ansley leaving Bama now. Do y’all think Saban tries to get SR? If that happens we will lose JR for sure.

Yes, because Saban would hire an unqualified guy just to get one recruit. That’s why he’s been so successful.

SR is a good DB coach He has produced some good dbs at American Heritage. He could get JR and Tyson to follow him over there.

I hope he does get hired by Bama. New NCAA rules now prohibit a school from recruiting a player within 2 years of his family member or coach getting hired by that school. You can call that the Shea Patterson rule

I’m hoping the only reason Raymond leaves LSU is for a NFL job. I think Aranda will make sure Raymond is taking care of. Maybe they will put Golding with the DBs.

I thought the same. I was corrected (by whitefoot), it does not apply to coaches. Only admin, school or atheltics, is who that rule applies to. Call it the Collins rule, as in Collins' girlfriend working in Bama admin role.

That’s only for people that are not assistant coaches.

Yeah it's not like he has 100 student workers working in the recruiting department

I think Sr wants Jr to learn under Raymond no matter.

He’s been coaching Jr for 4 years. Wants another coach to teach him now

That’s why nobody has hired Sr, IMO

And to add to that, and I may be alone in thinking this, but I don’t think CR is going anywhere any time soon.

There's no doubt he's going to try to get him.

Supposedly they have already hired his replacement and Bama fans r saying it’s either Golding or Sam P.

I THINK I remember seeing this elsewhere. His dad, even though he probably has complete confidence in his own abilities, probably wants some external training for the next step.

Hence, you don't get better than Raymond.

IMO, hiring his dad does NOT mean Surtain is going there by default.

I think I saw somewhere that his dad said even if he did take a big time job, Jr wouldn’t come to that school and that neither of them wanted that.
