The difference in the #18 class (USCw 90.7) and #4 Ohio State(92.7) is 2 points

The difference in the #12 class(LSU 91.7) and #2 (Alabama 93.3) is 1.6

///

Classes are someone’s idea of how good they might be…

If you have great coaching/scheme then the difference between #18 and #1 even (UGA 94.0) is completely mitigated ..

Add in the portal, busts, steals, and coaching then we have as good a shot at a natty as anyone else… but so does everyone else

Don't down play the talent on the field. Averages on paper don't mean shite until dudes step on the field. Last 2 years, the 5 losses we had were not lost by scheme. They were lost because the dudes on the other side were better than our dudes.

These rankings just give people on TD something to bitch about. Until we start beating teams with really good players and depth, it's fair to look back and question the recruiting.

Look at it historically over maybe the last 10 years annually & count the 4/5* subtotals.

Parity lol.

Let's just look at this year...
5 Stars by conference:
1. SEC-21
2. BIG12-7
3. Pac-12-5
4. ACC-4
5. Big 10-1

Doesn't really scream parity to me.

B1G: 5-stars – 6; 4-stars – 71
ACC: 5-stars – 4; 4-stars – 48
Big 12: 5-stars – 2; 4-stars – 50
Pac-12: 5-stars – 1; 4-stars – 35

I think you have to look at total points as well.

The average player ranking seems to show more parity than before, but the team total points is similar to what it has been in the past. It's also difficult to compare when you don't include transfers.

If you think that’s bad break it down by team. Bama & UGA account for 14 of those 17 in most years.
