I find it hard to believe that the some of the same people question O's hiring would have preferred Aranda.

Neither should have been considered unless we had been turned down by about a dozen other coaches.

Typical rickdaddy. Gets proven wrong on what he originally brought up and then tries to change the argument.

I havent changed anything.

For 29 of his 32 years he was a dline coach.

Ed orgeron has never ran a successful offense, defense , or program.

Facts.

What? Aranda is a great up and coming coach that has ran 2 very successful defenses at 2 p5 programs.
That alone is more qualified than someone that has never ran a successful defense. While Aranda may not be as qualified as some would like, he is more proven than ed orgeron.

To dismiss him as nothing more than a dline coach is shallow and misleading

He has been a dline coach for 29 of 32 years

He was a good hire

Would ed orgeron ever get mentioned for Bama's hc job?
Please explain how a coach that WAS NOT GETTING DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR JOB OFFERS AT CRAP P5 PROGRAMS IS SOMEHOW A GOOD HIRE FOR LSU.

The lsu fans that are ok with this hire is the reason we will never reach Bama's level of success.

News flash, most likely no one will get to Bama's level of success, this type of success Bama is having comes along rarely. When was the last time in college football have you seen a team dominate like Bama has the last few years?

What coach now other than Urban M is even close.

Being a good DC or OC in no way qualifies someone to be a HC. To be a great head coach you need:

A. To be a good recruiter.
B. You need to surround yourself with the best of the best.
C. You need to let the hired coaches do their job.
D. You need to have the balls to fire your hired help when they suck.

Whether yall like it or not CEO seems to fit the bill. He has apparently learned from his mistakes although the anti CEO crowd won't let go of Ole Piss.

Aranda may be the best head coach on the planet. But CEO IS MORE PROVEN than Aranda as a HC.

Let the down votes from the new nega's begin! But it won't change the fact that I am right.

Pathetic, really...

There are those that hate the O hire so much and are so bitter, that they can't handle anything said that is positive about Orgeron.

I wasn't thrilled about the Orgeron hire, but For the 1st time in 3years, I'm optimistic that we're trending in the right direction

Downvote away

And what's worse is these same morons will be the first ones bitching and morning if an in state kid bolts for another school like, "Why did so and so not want to represent their state??"

Because they have idiots like you in their ear shitting all over our HC non stop.

Please point to all these great head coaches that have never been a defensive coordinator, been an offensive play caller or an offensive coordinator at some level. Ill wait.
