You’re probably right but I had someone mention yesterday that he was ineligible for the whole season. Like I just said, I wish there was more clarity on this. Im hearing both sides

What clarity do you need? The rule is crystal clear.
If you transfer, you must sit out out a calendar year.
There are appeals that can shorten that, so he could be eligible sooner. There is no circumstance that could make it longer.
If he were ineligible all of next year, that would be 1.5 years. That’s not happening.
He will be eligible after the first semester next year at the latest.
Likely the same for O’Neal. He will appeal based on his heart condition and already missing a whole year.
